I was wondering how many photos people used?
I do an awful lot of one photo layouts because I like to highlight a certain photo (usually a portrait) and go all artsy on it. Probably 50% of my layouts are single photo.
I also do 2 and 3 photo layouts, though. I don't know why it took me so long to figure out I could trim my photos down a bit from 4x6 so they look better on the page. Since I started doing that I've done a lot more multi-photo layouts.
I'd say about 90% of my scrapping is single page layouts but I will do double page ones if I need more to tell a story. Those tend to be more event oriented pages- going to a theme park, baking cookies, going to the pool, graduation, etc.
I don't usually worry about pages matching. I'm changing the order of my pages all of the time (I don't scrap chronologically) so even if I started with matching pages by the time I'm done they aren't next to each other.
Do you do single photos, multi-photos, single page layouts, double page layouts? What is your preference?

I am 75-80% a one photo per page scrapper. If I have two great photos, I will do two photos on one page. I like lots of embellishment, so it is more fun for me to have the space to accent the single photo. If I have other photos associated with the event or theme, I will usually put them into a divided page protector that I do up to coordinate with the main page (using the same colours and embellishments).

I do a mix - really depends on how many photos I have, the story I'm telling, and how it all goes together. I have noticed I'm doing more one page than double page layouts lately - I think that's a factor of doping more everyday pages vs events (where I have more pics). I'm also doing more single photo pages - especially when I'm scrapping photos one of the older kids has sent me...I often only get ONE photo.

I typically put 2 to 4 smaller (2x3) pictures on a page. I also occasionally scrap one-page layouts or layouts with more than four pictures.

I’m a one page scrapper for most things other than vacations, anniversaries and birthdays.

I have anywhere from 1-15 pictures per page. I really depends on the event, story and when they are from. Lately I’ve been working on an older album so I’ve packed the pics on the pages since I don’t rememeber the stories anymore. I’ve cut down on my one pic pages since I have too many pages then. I still have five active kids at home so our albums are full.

I have only ever completed single page layouts. Most of the time, I only use one or two photos... and then go to town with the embellishments - goodness knows I gotta use up a few of my supplies All my photos are also 4x6. I continue to have them printed via Shutterfly. If/when I eventually get my own photo printer (ie: if Shutterfly ever shuts down), then I will most likely print wallet sized prints, and be able to include more photos on a layout.

I do it all. One page/one photo, two page/multi photo, and everything in between. I don't really have a preference - it just depends on how I feel like scrapping. Sometimes I'll cram a bunch of pictures on one page and sometimes I want bigger pictures or just feel like doing a two page layout. I have fun with it all and don't worry about two layouts facing each other that don't match.

1-4, with 3 being the most frequent. If I have more than 4 photos it becomes a two-page layout, and I rarely make those anymore.
If I do one photo on a page it is probably 4 by 6 or larger.

When I was doing traditional 12x12 layouts I'd try and get 3-4 on a page. Sometimes I'd do a single photo layout but not very often since back then I was an event scrapper and always took a ton of photos. Now that I do mainly pocket pages, I try and fill 3-5 of the pockets with photos, sometimes all the pockets will have photos if I have a lot.

I very rarely do a one photo layout. I usually have at least 4 photos per page, sometimes more.

I've been doing a lot of pocket pages. I usually have one or two spaces that are NOT photos. When I do regular pages, they are usually one photo.

The vast majority are single page layouts, with 1-2 photos. Using 3+ photos and/or double page layouts are very rare for me to do.
If I have multiple photos I really want to use, I'm most likely to pick 2-3 photos and do two single page layouts, with a simple 6x12 pocket page in between to showcase the additional photos. I don't mind if layouts on opposing pages don't coordinate. I don't scrapbook chronologically so my albums fluctuate whenever I put layouts away (which I really need to do!!).

I've always been a 3-6 photos per page scrapper. I have too many kids and too many photos to scrapbook a single photo per page.

I'm changing the order of my pages all of the time (I don't scrap chronologically) so even if I started with matching pages by the time I'm done they aren't next to each other. I am so with you on this - I can't imagine always trying to coordinate pages. When I flip through an album, I am focussed on 1 page at a time anyways. And when I show an album to a non scrapbooker, I often have to POINT OUT the 2 page spreads, that they are meant to go together... I think I'm pretty equal opportunity in 1, 2, 3, 4 photo pages. And I try to do some double pagers too for events or big ideas. I try to rotate through the different photo numbers so that I stay creative that way. 1 photo is easiest for me!

I usually do double spreads or have the pages somewhat match. I have a ton of photos on most layouts. Once I got the PL ap and an Epson PM-400, a whole new world of picture sizes opened up.

I do a bit of everything. I love single photo pages for my favourite photos. I do a lot of one page layouts with 2-3 photos. I also do a lot of double page layouts of events and days at the beach/river/snow.

I usually have 2-3 photo per page.
Sometimes I will have 10-15 page layouts per outing, event, photo op.....because I take too many photos(can never have too many photo!), and I love all the photos and can't narrow them down, so I use them all.

Except I try to do something to link two facing pages, even if it is using similar colours or icons, even if they are not per se a two page LO and aren't planned as a cohesive unit.

I do a real mix too. My travel pages often have a lot more photos on them and are much more likely to be double pages. I'm doing a pocket page + a single 12x12 for each week in my PL album so I often only use one or two smaller photos on these pages. They are stories that I wouldn't normally consider worthy of a full page, but in this format I'm scrapping all kinds of random stuff and enjoy using a real mix of photo sizes.

I do one to three photos per page, but most of the time I do two page layouts, so I often end up with a total of 3 to 5 photos per layout.

artbabe, I do much like you. I would say about 50% of my pages are one picture, but depending on the reason for the album, I use two pictures. 95% of my LOs are 1-2 pictures. If I tell a story I may have more.

All of the above, plus multiple-page layouts for events. I scrap 12x12 layouts & include various sizes & configurations of page protectors in albums to hold extra photos &/or memorabilia. Therefore, I typically order 4x6 photos, occasionally favorite photos at 5x7 or larger, & rarely photos smaller than 4x6. Each 12x12 page has 1-3 photos usually with no more than 6 photos in total on a double-page layout. I purposely do NOT match (in design, color palette, etc.) single page layouts next to each other in an album to signal to the viewer that each page documents a different subject.
I don't have a preference on the number of photos per page or whether layouts are single, double, or multiple pages, rather I enjoy the creative challenge of customizing each layout to document our teen's stories via journaling, photos, &/or memorabilia (as applicable).

I generally do 1-3 photos on a single-page layout, but will do more if the event or story calls for it.

I also do a lot of double page layouts of events and days at the beach/river/snow. That describes my style, too. If I have a lot of photos of one event, I'll use a pocket page between a 2 page layout. I'd say most of my single page layouts are 1 or 2 photos.

Generally I have 3 or 4 but will do even more if I have them. If I only have one or two that's ok too.
I will put on more photos to get them scrapped. I prefer having my photos scrapped even if the pages are less artistic.
