PHILADELPHIA -- Pennsylvania's highest court overturned Bill Cosby's sex assault conviction Wednesday after finding an agreement with a previous prosecutor prevented him from being charged in the case.
Cosby has served more than two years of a three- to 10-year sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia. He had vowed to serve all 10 years rather than acknowledge any remorse over the 2004 encounter with accuser Andrea Constand.

I feel for any person who has been assaulted and or abused sexually. This is just another slap in their face and another reason why so many don't say anything. It doesn't help the metro movement and will make white males question the validity of others accusations.

i just read about this. wow, what a turn of events! i absolutely think he should stay in jail but if that previous prosecutor made that deal with him, it should be honored. if bill cosby held up his end of the deal by testifying, the prosecution should hold up theirs. doing otherwise would put doubt in people's faith in the office. i don't think they should have made the deal in the first place.

DISGUSTING. i think they were rolling the dice. maybe they figured they could get him on something else later on so they bargained for his testify on their current case. from what i understand, the deal wasn't in writing so they probably thought it couldn't be upheld. how wrong were they. |

He can also not be prosecuted again. For THIS one. There are others. If I understood this correctly, this case was only about a single sexual assault against one particular woman. There are plenty of others. Wouldn't it be nice if the press really leaves him alone. Like in total silence. Ignores his existence completely. No interviews. No comments. Leaves him in a big dark deep hole until someone else prosecutes him or he dies. Whichever comes first. |
