JULY challenges:
PRODUCTS
P-1 Plain cardstock for backgrounds. Let's hark back to the days of simpler pages. ONE point for white or cream. TWO points for any colour, including black.
P-2 True grit. 'Tis the season of sand: let's see some grit on your page. If you are doing a winter page, let's see some textured snow.
P-3 Six it! Use paper from a 6 x 6 paper pad one point for each piece from a paper pad on your projects
P-4 Mr Postman! use an envelope or postage stamp embellishment on your project.
P-5 Tie it up. Use ribbon, twine, string or other for one point each up to 5. Add a 3 point bonus if any are tied in a bow.
P-6 Ancient supplies? Two points per patterned paper, chipboard, Queen and Company felt strips, that is more than 5 years old. Five points, if it is more than 10 years old!
P-7 Hot metal! use anything metallic: staples, metallic paper, charms, wire, etc for 1 point per type of metal.
P-8 pesky manufacturer strips - 1 point PER manufacturer strip you get on a layout/card. Consider sticking them down side by side on a piece of scrap and punching shapes out; consider edging your layout with 4 different strips; consider distressing them, muting them with white paint; stitching through them at top/bottom of your page; creating "weaving" out of them; or make banners.
P-9 thickers and stickers - 1 point per package of thickers or stickers you represent on a page/card
P-10 Dotty - 1 point for every 3 enamel dots, nuvo drops, sequins, pearls, buttons or brads.
P-11 Paper fashion - 1 point for every FLORAL print paper; 1 point for every POLKADOT paper; 1 point for every WATERCOLOUR look paper.
SHAPES/ICONS
S/I-Be a SQUARE: one point for every square shape on your project--including shape of page or card.
S/I-2 Put a heart on it. Take one point for each heart on your project up to 5. Add a 2 point bonus if they are any color other than pink or red.
S/I-3 Feeling Fruity - Include a fruit embellishment or paper on your project.
S/I-4 Let's hear it for the stars! One point per star on your project, unless it is a the US flag then only 10 points for all 50 stars.
S/I-5 Summer Sunshine, Summer Storms - 1 point per patterned paper with suns or clouds; 1 point per die cut/sticker sun or cloud.
S/I-6 Bung a camera on it - 1 point
COLOURS/MOODBOARDS
C/M-1 Kraft Use Kraft anywhere on your project.
C/M-2 Red/white/blue for 4th of July OR red/white for Canada Day = 1 pt - bonus point if your card/layout/project is themed for 4th of July/Canada Day (or a similar national holiday)
C/M-3 Tequila Sunrise - Use the colours red, orange and yellow on your project. One point for each of the colours used, plus bonus three points if you use all three colours.
C/M-4 Summer is for sky and water - create a page that has a BLUE focus - you can have lots of other colours as long as BLUE draws the eye!
C/M-5 Mood Board of Opposites Tired of seeing Red, White and Blue on every ad, story, image this month? Your "opposite" (of the color wheel) challenge is: Green, Black and Orange. Like this...
TECHNIQUES
T-1 On the EDGE: tear it, ink it, texturize it: one point of each different technique on your card or page.
T-2 Get Fussy! Fussy cut one point for each item on your project you fussy cut
T-3 Itch to Stitch - Stitch or embroider a shape or letters on your project.
T-4 Get Messy-try a new to you mixed media technique and use it on your project. If you got inky fingers add one extra point.
T-5 Stamping with a TWIST. After watching just SOME of Laura Wosnick's stamp day I've seen so many things I want to try with my stamps. - Use a new to you stamp technique - resist, layering, embossing, anything you have thought you'd like to try let's do it! 5 pts per each new thing you try
T-6 Cut &/or Emboss. 1 pt for using each die (alphas - per font) or cut file on your project .

5pts bonus if you haven't used the die or embossing folder before
T -7 Dimension - create dimension by popping up your photos (1 point), embellishments (1 point), sentiment (1 point) or POP UP your title (5 points) by adding foam under stickers or layering up die cuts
T-8 mixed media - 1 point per COLOUR of ink, paint, splatter, markers, crayons etc. used on your page/card
WORDS/Titles
W/T-1 In Shape - Use a shape or an icon in place of a letter in your title, eg. use a sun in place of the letter 'o', or a candle in place of the letter 'i'.
W/T-2 Journal on: Seven points for each 50 words of journaling.
W/T-3 Strip journaling: One point per strip used in the journaling process
W/T-4 Seven Word Title: It's the seventh month, see if you can write a seven word title for 2 points, double your points if you use more than one font!
W/T-5 Titles that trill off the tongue - use either alliteration or rhyming in your title for 5 points
THEMES
Th-1 Christmas in July - 10pts for a Christmas (or other December holiday) themed layout/card/project; 5pts for a December layout that isn't specifically holiday themed.

Th-2 Dog Days of Summer - The term “Dog Days” traditionally refers to a period of particularly hot and humid weather occurring during the summer months of July and August in the Northern Hemisphere. Do a layout about your dog (or any pet!) and take a bonus point if your pooch is partaking in summer activities.
Th-3 July is vacation time! Two points per layout about a trip or vacation that you have taken. Since we can finally travel again!
Th-4 Suddenly I have PLANS! One point for each planner page. OR for discussing plans in your journaling. Bonus point if you include screen shots of tickets or texts about plans.
NUMBERS/SIZES:
N/S-1 Sizing Up - Take one point for each different sized photo on your page.
N/S-2 Use seven! Five points for each time you can use seven of something, like paper (patterned or cardstock) embellies, and so on.
N/S-3 Cluster Seven 7 points for a cluster of exactly 7 items. A splatter of mist counts as 1 item. Nuvo drops or enamel dots only count as 1 item no matter how many you use in a cluster. A word or phrase counts as 1 item.

Re-2 A summer milkshake: 10 points
1. Good old basic vanilla - use a white or cream background, no patterned paper. Or, if you like chocolate, use brown or kraft on your page/card.
2. I want the metal cup too - use something metal on your page/card, from brads to clips to staples
3. So fattening tho! - use puffy stickers
4. Whip cream too - Use clouds
5. Paper straws are more environmentally friendly! Tear and roll up at least 1 edge (doesn't have to be rolled in a tube, just roughed and lifted)
6. Share with a friend - use papers (or digital kits) from at least 2 different designers/brands
7. Old fashioned but still popular! - use some product (not tools) that is over 5 years old.
OTHER
O-1 Making Memories - 10 pts per day for being too busy making memories to scrap
O-2 Frozen - 10 pts per day for not buying scrappy stuff
O-3 Get together Take 10 points per hour for crafting with others, including the Online 2Peas Crops.
O-4 Pass it ON! If you recycle cards from last year to donate them this year count them as 5 points each and if you recycle 100 of them add an extra 25 points.
O-5 Kit it up or use it up! I've been inspired by this thread to make some page kits since my stash is overwhelming right now. Make and use your own page kits, or the monthly kits you have piling up. Give yourself 5 points for every DIY kit you make, and another 5 for actually using the kit this month!
O-6 Class completion/inspiration. I have a lot of classes that I have never finished, or even started. Give yourself a point for every layout that was inspired by a class and a bonus of ten points if you complete the class. If this is class that is currently ongoing, give yourself 10 points for catching up/keeping up.
O-7 Print 'em up! 1pt for every photo you print(have printed), take an extra point each for July 2021 photos
O-8 Be Digi Inspired! get inspired or learn something new by watching a video - class videos, YT videos, live scrapping, whatever you like that inspires you to try out new techniques or work on a project. No haul videos though - the focus here is on using the stuff, not just collecting it. 5 points per video watched. Take an extra 10 points (on top of creating and other challenge points) if you make something directly inspired by a video you just watched.
O-9 So many great sketches, use a 2 peas sketch from any point in time for 5 points, if you use a sketch from elsewhere, 2 points or 5 points if you share the inspiration sketch and your layout.
