It’s funny how they still accept my pagan backed money.

I avoid the store. Craft store options are gone here. Joann's is a very small dump. That leaves Walmart. Oh there are Michaels a few towns over in opposite directions.

I would rather stop crafting altogether, than shop there, if there were no other choices available.

I rarely go in there, only if I have to.
Now, if they were the last store on earth that had what I needed, I'll never step foot in there again.

Just one more reason not to shop there. I haven’t stepped foot in one in years.

Is God just a Christian concept?? My Jewish husband believes in God.
I’m confused why pledging allegiance to one nation under God is about a Christian run govt.

Yeah, they do not need my money. That is directly against the constitution and completely unpatriotic and specifically obnoxious on July 4th when we are celebrating the constitution and the freedoms it is supposed to afford us.
They can F off with that

As I've stated before, I am too slutty to shop at Hobby Lobby. About a year ago a store opened up not far from where I live and people will ask me if I've been there since they know I buy a lot of yarn for crocheting blankets. I think I'd rather search for bags of old yarn at garage sales than go into their store.

If you read the article, the other quotes they used make it clear they’re only talking about the Christian god. The phrase “under god” was added to the pledge in the 50s, BTW, and most definitely was intended at that time to reference the Christian god. Also, many of us do not believe in or follow any god, and we understandably would prefer to keep church (any church) and state very separate. My family doesn’t support Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby is totally off my list. If that is the only store in which to purchase something, I'll do without.

Fuck Hobby Lobby. I haven't shopped there in years, since the whole birth control issue. I was very glad I'd already stopped shopping there when I found out they'd bought illegal antiquities. So this is in line with their crap I suppose. Yeah, I wouldn't shop there if they were the last shop on earth. It really bugs me how many crafters still do.

I simply can not shop there. Those stores are at least 1.5 hours away. My family had gone to an area with a Michael’s and this one. I was looking for something specific and google said HL carried it. DH was insistent that I go in to that store to see if they had the item. Could not do it.

Thank you for sharing. I will cont to avoid shopping there and educate other crafters of their ideals It’s not my place to”educate “ others on where to spend their money. Of course if someone asks why I don’t shop at a particular store I’ll tell them. I will not judge them if they want to shop at any store I won’t.

I shop occasionally at Hobby Lobby and got that in my inbox. I was really taken aback. There isn’t one near to me and thankfully my local Michael’s is clean and well stocked, so no need to seek one out any longer.
I find that ad so offensive on many counts. Glad I’m not the only one.

The Hobby Lobby that is near to me in California is always full of people. Parking is hard to find at times. The Joanns store is easier to get into, but their craft area is not very well stocked. Michaels is in the next shopping area from Hobby Lobby, and it's much easier to find parking spaces there--but again, their craft area isn't great. The store seems to have a lot of people in there, but I can never find things I want.

I completely stopped shopping at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. I simply cannot support them with my money. If I can't find it at another store or online, I don't need it.

Last time I was there, I saw that they had the Mike Lindell book on sale. I laughed out loud. I'll still shop there on occasion, but it is my last resort store.

i always found it odd that the company, with their deep christian based philosophy, has no problem importing most (if not all) of their products from China. i guess their bottom dollar is more important than China's track record for severe human rights violations, poor working conditions and pay, and other unscrupulous business practices.

I can’t think how much of my money they have lost over the years.
They don’t respect my religion? They don’t get my money.

I will still shop there, although I don't shop anywhere right now.... trying to tame my addiction for planner stickers.

My friend and his husband love to “shop”there. Omg he is so funny about it. He gets over the top “flamboyant “ when he gets in the store.
