I use craft glue, not tape. They can cut the envelope open, and as long as the card isn’t a tight fit in the envelope, the card isn’t likely to be damaged. I put the folded edge of the card into the envelope first, so the open side is up by the flap. If they cut the envelope open, they won’t accidentally cut the card fold at the same time. I hope that makes sense.

I'm looking for the tape that can go on the flap for the cards that I make and send to Cards for Soldiers.

I use .25in double-sided adhesive. These days I've been getting it from scrapbook.com because it's cheaper (especially if you buy multiple rolls) but before I used to use Scor-Tape. When I get a new batch of envelopes, I put the tape on all of them at once so I don't have to worry about it. I also use my scissors to cut the edges instead of tearing it because I find when you tear that sort of tape, inevitably a little bit of adhesive gets exposed, so in this particular application, I like to cut it.

I use 1/4” Scor-Tape. Like wendifful, I cut it instead of tearing it. I use it for the construction of the envelope and closing the flap after inserting the card. I find it’s strong enough to hold the envelope together and keep it sealed. It looks neater and holds strong for bulky cards.

Scor-tape. I use an acrylic block/stamping block to varnish the tape on and tear the tape with, it works perfectly.

I use an inexpensive version of the Scor Tape that is 1/8" wide. If I'm using the envelope myself, I use my ATG.

Scor-tape. I use it to make the envie, but I don't put tape on the flap until I am ready to use it. My envies are not matched, they are color coordinated. I make envies with paper instead of purging. Then over time I match a card to an envie. After a while the tape loses it's tackiness if it is left open. Some of my envies are a year or more old.

I'm looking for the tape that can go on the flap for the cards that I make and send to Cards for Soldiers. In that case, another vote for Scor-Tape.

ScorTape. If you sign up for their mailing list, they have occasional sales, but don’t send email often - maybe every two or three months? www.scor-pal.com/store/
