I posted a project that I had made (on a Facebook craft page), and someone there asked me to do a tutorial. I have started making the video. Would YouTube be the best way to post and share it? Are there other options that you prefer? Any tips or suggestions? Edited to add: I finished the video, set up a YouTube channel, and posted my first video tutorial. It’s a way to make a box card with Queen & Co. Foundation dies, but you should be able to use similar dies from other companies, if you have something similar in your tool stash. Some of you asked me to post a link when it was done, so here it is: Baby Box Card with Queen & Co. Foundation Dies

I love watching tutorial videos on YouTube! My upline also posts videos on FB but I'm not sure if they are just copied from YouTube. When you get it completed please share the link here, I'd really like to check it out!

I agree - YouTube is where most people would look to find a tutorial video. Please post it here so we can view!

I like youtube because I can save whichever video I want into whatever category I want. I don't know if FB can do that because I don't use it enough.
ETA: well almost any video I want. I think uploaders have the option not to allow that. There have been some videos I could not save.
ETA: When I said "save" I meant onto a playlist labeled with whatever title I want (tutorials, dogs, DIY, etc)

Not everyone has FB, but if the person found you on FB, that's not a problem I would still do YT and share to FB so more people could possibly see it, if you're interested in sharing more widely. Vimeo is another video sharing platform.

YT , I don't have FB. This way I can watch it too 😉. And I would say you would have a wider audience and it easier to share too. Please let us know when its available for viewing.

I will also say YouTube because everyone has access to it.

Thank you to all of you for your suggestions. I will set up a YouTube account.
I finished the filming this morning (hopefully), but there is still the voice over recording to do, minor edits, etc.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I said that I’d do a tutorial. It has definitely been a bit of a stretch, since I’m having to learn two different new software programs. Fortunately, my DH already had one of them, and youngest DS told me of a good free software to do the sound editing.

Now I want to know the craft. I am impressed you decided to take it all the way to finish line! That is a lot of work.

I'm looking for good editing software to use. Looking forward to seeing your tutorial!!! Joining YouTube will be the next step once I finish the video. I am using Corel Video Studio 2021. My DH had bought it, intending to use it for work. He had a heart attack that nearly killed him in March, and he is still recovering. He won’t be up to doing anything with it for awhile, so he suggested that I use it for this. I do like it. They have online tutorials, which I would have been lost without. It has the option to do a voice over, but our DS suggested a different program for recording the voice, which lets me filter out background noise. If the Corel software has that feature, I haven’t discovered it. The audio recording software is Audacity. That one is a free download.

My DH had bought it, intending to use it for work. He had a heart attack that nearly killed him in March, and he is still recovering. Oh my gosh! I'm glad he's doing better but how scary! It was incredibly scary. We didn’t even realize that he’d had a heart attack for two days. He just had sudden nausea that wouldn’t subside. Not all heart attacks have classic symptoms. He never had any chest pain or tightness, or any other obvious symptoms. I am grateful he survived, but it was a close thing, and it required a lot of medical intervention. I’m his sole caregiver, so working on the tutorial has been a good outlet. However, since I am his caregiver, as well as having to learn everything, this first video is taking longer than I had hoped.

I'm a hobbyist Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the US, and I've had requests for tutorials for some cards I've made, but I do not have the capability to create videos. With the latest request, though, I sat down and created a pdf that I could link (for free). Not the greatest, but effective. However, I also contacted another demonstrator in the UK who does very detailed videos and asked if she might consider doing a video for me. She did! So, if I get requests for that card (my own "fun fold"), I give a link to the pdf and to the video.
If I get more requests in the future, I may try to make better pdf's, but I'm just not set up for video.

I finished and uploaded the video. Link is in the OP. I’ve taught a lot of classes, but never done a video tutorial. It’s not perfect, but I hope those of you who are willing to check it out will enjoy it.

I just watched and it is really good. Your instructions were clear, I really liked how you had the measurements and such on the screen, and the project is super cute! My only "critique" would be to change the orientation of your camera, from portrait (vertical) to landscape (horizontal). Otherwise I wouldn't change anything else! Congrats and I can't wait to see more!

Thank you, @zingermack, gramma, and jediannie. With the next video, I will change the orientation. I agree that would be better.
