I organize my patterned paper by color and do not keep collections together (typically). I was putting away some new paper purchases and was surprised by how little black patterned paper I have. My least favorite colors to craft with are orange and brown, so those I would expect to be small (and they are!). I used to not like purple at all, but sometime in 2020 that changed, and now I love purple! I made it a point to seek out purple patterns and now have a good stash built up to choose from. I guess black patterns will be my next focus! On the other end, my largest patterned paper sections are pink and aqua/teal, which is not surprising as they are in ALL the collections (no complaint from me). So now I'm curious - what colors are most popular in your stash and what do you have the least of? Does it surprise you or is it as expected? I know not everyone organizes by color, so my apologies if you keep your collections together by brand!

I didn't think I needed orange but with Halloween and my daughter having a birthday party at Sky Zone (the place is orange here) and then going to friend's parties there, I need it more than I thought I would. I love purple/lavender but don't get much chance to use it. Brown I never used that much until I got a diecut machine (it is good for shadows or on animals where you layer it). Never been much of a yellow person myself but when my daughter was young it was a good color on her and also fit her personality but now she is a teen so don't think I will be using it that much. Some brands like Echo Park and Simple Stories have a lot of salmon colors and I have found that hard to match things. I can't help it I like my paper to match my pictures and I am not going to change.

I have my paper mixed between 4 Iris cases - dd, ds, fall (Halloween/Thanksgiving/Autumn), Christmas.
Least popular: purple, yellow, brown
Most popular: blues, greens, pinks, reds, white, greys, black, oranges.

My favorites are blues and pinks and yes, I have a fair amount of those. My least favorite is orange and I have some but not a lot. I seem to have the most trouble using anything green though unless it's at Christmas. Great question!

Going by my scraps: blue and green are probably the most plentiful. Purple doesn't even have it's own drawer... not because I don't like it, or use it (one of my kids' school colors is purple) but it's hard to come by...
Going by what I grab for when I scrap: rarely do I touch my black, white and gray stash (all stored together) or now that I think about it, I almost never look for brown. I love scrapping with orange and yellow and am always looking for more in those colors to add to my stash.

I would have to say that red is likely my least used colour. I don't mind red if it is in a simple B side pattern like a small polka dot or a heart pattern but I just don't use it a lot and I have very little in the way of red cardstock. I generally don't have a lot of jewel tones in my stash either, I am more a fan of the brights and pastels.
I am not a huge fan of browns, greens and greys in real life but I do use a lot of them in my scrapbooking because I try to record all of our camping trips and holidays and they feature a lot of bush photos.
Pink, blues, aquas and yellow are probably my most used colours, I love purple but I just find it hard to match up with photos or to find lines that have it.

I love various shades of aqua and turquoise. I love pink as well. I like most other colors, I like using color in my layouts. My absolute least favorite is mint green. I can’t stand it.

Blue and green - both cardstock and PP - are my biggest stacks and I do use both regularly.
Purple is my smallest stack and the one I have the hardest time using - I'm drawn to it in stores but it is hard to match to cardstock and rarely works with my photos.

I use a ton of bright colors and have lots of it all except purple and pastel anything. I do have a few sheets of purple though.

Most: Pink is my favorite color, but I gravitate toward, use, & mostly buy versatile neutrals (e.g. whites, black, greys, navy).
Least: Yellow is my least favorite color, which is reflected in my scrapbook paper inventory.

Purple, yellow or any pastels. I do use them if they are part of a pattern, but in very limited doses.

My most represented (and used) colors are blues and greens.
I'd say my least used colors are pinks and yellows, but I absolutely never use peach or beige (or peachy-beige 😄 ).

I just had a quick look at the most recent kits that I have bought. I definitely favour bright or pastel colours. These are the colour schemes of my most recent kits: pink/blue/teal/yellow blue/green/brown pink/brown/olive ** I really dislike olive green, and not really a fan of brown, but it's Humble & Create so I love the kit! red/blue/pink/green blue/pink/yellow/orange blue/pink/yellow/orange blue/pink/yellow/orange orange/yellow/blue pink/green/orange red/yellow/blue pink/brown blue/orange/yellow black/blue/brown green/purple/red/orange blue/orange blue/green/pink/orange

I have a lot of pinks and aquas, no surprises here, I like both and find they work well for lots of everyday photos.
I don't have a ton of yellow, which also doesn't surprise me as I like using it for travel pages so I go through it pretty quickly. I also don't have a lot of purple as I don't really like scrapping with it that much, it's a difficult colour to match, and I find I can just as easily use other colours and make a page I like. I also don't have much in the way of orange.

I don't have any particular color schemes I prefer. I have a ton of fall color papers- I can't resist them. My problem is I don't scrap fall very much. So I'm sitting on a lot of brown/orange papers. I love purple papers but they are kind of hard to use with the photos I scrap, so I'm sitting on some of that, too. Scrapping boys I tend to use a lot of blues, reds, and black, because that matches their clothes. Blue and yellow are their school colors, so yellow gets used, too. I guess my favorite color to use is green. I love flowers, plants, and trees, so green speaks to me.
AussieMeg, you always tempt me into going digital. The kits you bought look so fun!

Blue and green are my top. Those are Easy to use with my boys but they are also fav colors of the majority of my fam. Orange and yellow are the least and I am pretty sure because I am picky about the tone of those.

Least: red, orange and brown (I would only use on Fall layouts) Most: Aqua, mint, pink, purple and blue. Most of those are pastels. That’s my color palette💜

Probably blue. That's the most amount of paper scraps I have. Least would be a tie between yellow and orange. Orange is my least favorite color and I only like certain shades of yellow.

Most popular are bright, rich colours... blues, greens, red, yellow, orange.
Least popular would be pastels in general... definitely not a 'pink' person.

So now I'm curious - what colors are most popular in your stash and what do you have the least of? Does it surprise you or is it as expected? I know not everyone organizes by color, so my apologies if you keep your collections together by brand! I don't organize by color, but I know I gravitate to buying more blues and greens, so it wouldn't surprise me to have more of those than anything else.
And i have very little black pp, like you.

I am not sure what measure of the colours left in my stash says about my colour choices...
I tend to organize my pp by theme. I am always running out of blue, black, kraft, white and red cs, which I DO organize by colour. What is left in that drawer tends to be the sheets I pass over when looking for supplies: the shades that never seem to work with my papers or photos.
I scrap mostly about little boys. My go-to colours are blue, teal, orange, but I use the other primary colours as well as black, brown, copper and kraft. I scrap a little bit about my garden and use greens. My Christmas stash has lots of red and green and gold and silver.
I don't use alot of pastels or florals, very little pink or purple, but that doesn't mean I don't have any in my stash.
