ETA And every screen can show color differently. Exactly. That's why I rely on swatches that show the colors against each other, rather than the images that show only one color where my screen may be tuned differently than others'. I like to look at the colors COMPARATIVELY - and that helps me decide where it falls on the color chart (and how to try to mix it w/the inkers I already have )

Though a new client once told me she loved a room on my website painted in various shades of gray. Hmm. I asked her to show me because I never did a gray room. They were actually sage greens. So even comparisons can trip us up. Her monitor was fairly ancient though. But at least if we have a couple of the colors already, we can get get a sense of where the new color fits, even if the screen is fibbing a bit. So yes, what you said.

I really like it! I just swatched all my inks and I have a couple of gaps in my collection. So I ordered prized ribbon, kitsh pink, chipped sapphire, carved pumpkin and salvaged patina. While I have a full collection of SU! Colors I totally prefer the distress oxides over any ink. I'm tempted to sell my SU ink and stick with distress & oxides.

I just wish the colours on the lids would be closer to the colours of the inks when stamped on white.
I love my faded jeans Oxide, so would probably love this one, too. Just don't think I need it until I need to replace faded jeans.

While I like it, we already have sooooo many blues and greens. That’s kind of how I feel about every main color group, though they all have gaps since there are millions of colors. I like the new color too - brighter/purer than Faded Jeans, which is much more grayed down. But I haven’t been super excited about a new color in a while. Though I wasn’t excited about Cracklin’ Campfire but now love it with light to dark yellow and orange blends. And Speckled Egg was my absolute favorite but I haven’t used it I don’t think. It’s close to my kitchen wall color, some cloth bowls and on a wonky leaf/branch design on an oilcloth tablecloth. The colors are the boss; I just follow orders.

I have stopped in two different Joann stores in Ohio, no Blue Ribbon in either. Does this get distributed out later to the big box stores?

It may be on their website at some point in the next 4-6 months. Joanns just reset their papercraft department, and it will not be reset for 6-12 months. At that point it may be available in store.
Just for reference, the box stores reset their displays 1-2 times per year, and those are planned about 4 months in advance based upon products they have decided to carry (and are available at the time of planning). Rarely will you see these mid releases in the box store. Some manufacturers, as a point of courtesy, withhold new releases from the big box stores and limit the releases to the independents for a period of time.
For instance, Michaels just reset their inks, and included the 2020 Tim Holtz new colors in their standard collection. It does take a while for these new releases to filter into the box stores.
