I know this is unkind to say outloud, but I wish all of them had returned to NYC and tried to re-establish themselves there, only to be horribly shunned. I would have reallt enjoyed hearing about it.
Floridians, I'm sorry that they seem to have been welcomed to your state (full-time) with a whole lot of opened arms.

I did read that after DT's defeat, Ivanka and Jared were rebuffed by the former NYC friends.

So many insane news stories start with the headline “Florida man [does something outrageous]...” linkJust google “Florida Man” and see all the news headlines that pop up.

I think because I don't FB any more that I miss out (thankfully) on some of this stuff. ETA: ok, the first thing that came up when I googled was this story...I don't think I need to go any further than it "A Florida man told police officers he was “teaching it a lesson” when he tried to throw a live alligator he had stolen from a miniature golf course onto the roof of a beachside cocktail lounge"

I hope you express the same sentiment when Hunter Biden buys his mansion after cashing in on his name with his so-called art.

If you didn’t have a problem with Ivanka being awarded dozens of Chinese patents after Trump got into the White House, and Jared being bailed out financially by the Saudis (or the Emirates? I forget which) ditto … why would you have a problem with Hunter Biden selling paintings?

I've been away and hadn't heard about Hunter's art. I just read an article on NPR about it. I have to say that I know next to nothing about him, but based on that article, I totally question question his scruples :/ Regardless of what the former's clan has/continues to do.

Hell, if I thought I could blow some paint around through a straw, call it art and get some idiot to spend $500,000 for it just because of my last name I’d be puffing away around the clock.

Oh please…spare us your fake “oh where did I say…” Every single Lea on this board knows exactly what you were implying/inferring/saying with your smirky, sanctimonious post. You are not fooling anyone. He’s more than likely earning $$$ more honestly and not being a big old lying, country destroying, grifting POS in comparison to trumps. But again, you’ve never had a problem with republicans cheating, stealing, lying, grifting.

May they enjoy the next few months, before the indictments!! Maybe they thought it might be harder to cuff them and haul them away at their "Billionaire Bunker"?
Hope she's finally outed for all of her swindling, esp during 2016-2020 (Kushner too). They made tons of $$ from the pandemic, dealing with dangerous "allies" of theirs and ripping off the IRS.

Makes the patents and all of the other grifting that much worse.

Absolutely totally agree! WH approved that's what got me!! Ok, after hearing about this and then reading about it on several sources, it seems the White House didn’t/isn’t selling or marketing the art. The White House team ( ethics? Legal? ) are the ones who supposedly came up with or insisted on the buyers being completely anonymous. It is supposed to insulate the president from being accused of favoring a buyer for buying his son’s over priced art. How can they favor someone anonymous, right? Theoretically that sounds good, but in reality it still doesn’t look good at all. It just brought attention to Hunter Biden and his innate knack for screwing things up. Instead of looking less ‘suspicious’ instead of avoiding the appearance of impropriety, it just screams hey look at my art that my dad is not profiting from at all. ( which I don’t think the president is profiting ) but it just served the purpose of waving a flag in front of bulls and falling attention to it. If the art were good then Hunter could have remained anonymous and still sold the art. There’s a few anonymous artists out there. But Hunters art is just there, just average, and fewer would buy it if he weren’t Hunter Biden. They tried to avoid the appearance of impropriety and instead magnified it. I still want to know 1 ) if they can sell my DD’s art? And 2 ) I hope someone is managing that income for Hunter so he doesn’t blow it all at once. Joe should have just made Hunter wait 3 more years but I assume Hunter needs the income to live on.

"Trump and Kushner, who famously flew down to Miami to ride out their post-White House lives, acquired the home at 36 Indian Creek Island Road, according to sources. The sale closed in April and was recorded on the Multiple Listing Service. The deed transferred in April, according to property records, to 36 IC Acquisition LLC, a Delaware entity that is trustee of a similarly named land trust. Christopher Smith, general counsel at Kushner, signed the $15 million mortgage from Bank of America on behalf of the buyer.... The property previously sold in 2008 for $7 million. The estate was developed in 1994. Trump and Kushner were rumored to have been the buyers of 4 Indian Creek Island Road, a waterfront lot that award-winning singer and songwriter Julio Iglesias sold in December for $32.2 million.... Indian Creek, a gated, guarded island north of Miami Beach, is home to a number of billionaires and celebrities. Homeowners include billionaire Carl Icahn, billionaire hedge funder Eddie Lampert, Hotels.com co-founder Bob Diener, and developer Jeffrey Soffer." therealdeal.com/miami/2021/07/06/jared-and-ivanka-paid-24m-for-this-waterfront-indian-creek-estate-sources/Recent arial photos (vs. the glitzed-up promo realtor shots)

I hope they all feel the karma they deserve, but the universe seems to reward these assholes for some reason.
That said, I don’t think it’s an awful property. Not my architectural preference, but it has many pretty elements.
I’m wondering why the grounds are in such disrepair. A scummy pool is pretty easy to remedy, but the grounds as a whole look like they’ve been left for years. Wonder if inside is similar now? I’m sure they’re gutting it all anyway.
