This thread is so inspiring to me to use more of my stuff! I need to target some sticker sheets. 😉
I recently used up a roll of glue dots! I don’t put Nuvo drops directly on my projects because I’m afraid I will mess them up when they’re still wet or that they will pop off the project. So, I use the backing sheets from enamel dots (that have been finished off!!) to create my Nuvo dots. Once dry, I pop them off and then back with a tiny Glue Dot.
I’ve been working on Christmas stuff and using up some of my leftover 2020 JYC/DD supplies on my December 2020 PL pages. I am trying hard to use up any “dated” products, whether it’s actually dated 2020 (and can’t be used another year) or very pandemic specific. I want to use those up!

I dug DEEP into my stash on my most recent layout...and found some self-adhesive, fabric 'paper' from 2007...from Love Elsie's Jack + Abby Neighbours. It was just perfect for our moving-in photos and while I have 2 card-size scraps leftover, it's almost used up. I remember those papers. I love when I find the perfect thing in my long hoarded supplies, it helps me justify why I've kept them so long This thread is so inspiring to me to use more of my stuff! Same! This makes me want to go and break into some other older or neglected supplies.

A few days ago I decided to fix some layouts I made years ago that have always bugged me. I dug out my Love, Elsie stuff to complete one of my pages. I noticed I had some papers that related to art and scrapbooking. I have some photos of a scrapbook retreat I went on that would be perfect with that paper. I'm definitely going to use them in the next week or two.

I used some OA Farm Girl and also some Pink Paislee London Market. Very vintage stuff

I’m not sure if this exactly counts, but I threw away the skeleton frame of an old SC chipboard set yesterday. It had a few pieces left, but I found another chipboard with the same die that had those spits missing, so I did the thing where you pop them out and put them in the other. I felt victorious throwing the empty one away. I DID purposely use a couple that I would have looked over usually, because I realized I was close to being able to ditch it.

finished up a sticker sheet...from 2003 Wordsworth My World cat stickers - there's actually one word left but it's not one I'll use so tossing it
18 years to use up a 5x10" sticker sheet...no wonder I've never finished a 12x12 one (although I'm awfully close on a Christmas one - only 2-3 stickers left)

Not to brag, but I tossed two more chipboard skeletons today. They are just so satisfying to empty. I have a label sheet that is pretty close to being empty too. And from now on I'll think of them as skeletons

Just used up an entire roll of dollar store washi. I mostly used it for holding dies, but it means I got some scrapping done!

I totally get that. I know it's not rational. I bought the supplies to use them but I still have those thoughts especially when coming close to finishing up a package of something. I have to remind myself that I can buy more anytime! I finally pulled out a cat themed collection to scrap pictures of a kitty we lost a few years ago. It's been too painful but I'm starting to work on those pictures now and it's nice to see his cute face again. It is hard to scrap those precious memories. I had the same problem when we had to put our sweet tabby down a few years ago. I would look at the pictures and I could still hear is meow...he sounded like a duck. We a beautiful rescue cat now, she is a joy but sometimes she does something just the way our boy did and I wonder if he sent her to us. I really am trying to use my stash, I am but I really do struggle because you can't replace some of the items since the companies don't exist anymore. But a good friend reminded me that I bought those items to put on my pages not to sit in a dark box or basket. I am trying, I did open an old package of Basic Grey die cuts today...progress! So true! I have 12x12 envelopes of special paper and embellishments to scrap my grandpa and my dad. I haven't scrapped a page.

I used up another Jolees package (Disney Goofy) on a layout the other day.
I'm currently working my way through my Birthday folder - I've used up six sheets of pp paper entirely (which was what was left full sheet wise).
I'm going to make one more batch of birthday cards tomorrow using up the rest of the scraps and some more stickers and then what is left will be tossed. All that was left in the folder was the leftovers - scraps, PP that just wasn't making it on layouts, partial sticker sheets. I'm ready to start fresh.

I’ve used up essentially one Elle’s Studio monthly kit - I say essentially because those kits cover partials of two months since they are released mid-month (Nov kit contains Nov-Dec items, and Dec kit contains Dec-Jan items). So, I’ve used up the December items.
Now just eleventy-seven kits to go!

I've also been working on using my stamp sets this year, trying to use them all at least once. I crossed two more stamp sets off my list yesterday. And I pulled out a bunch of smaller patterned paper scraps to focus on using, and have managed to get 9 pieces onto pages so far. I knew the peas would totally understand how I feel! This is me!!! I have been trying really hard to use stamps on every page. They are so $$$$$ and some are just so specific… I used a pack of rub on’s only because they all went bad. Does that count 😂

Question: how do you feel satisfied when you use REALLY old supplies, but end up with scraps that go back in the same place you took them out of? I just used 2 really old pps, but only maybe half of each sheet, meaning the other half pieces are back in the same "autumn/school" storage section, and I don't feel like anything got "used up"! I am definitely a scrooge. I keep scraps. I scrap with scraps. I am overly efficient with paper (gutting, conserving). I think that's why using a "kit" used to drive me nuts because I could never get it used up (there were always more scraps to use). I need to explore making cards with my scraps of pp after I make a layout, like Linda did, get them finished off.

kitbop - cards are good for using scraps. I also try and see if there's another layout I can use them on - I'm bouncing back and forth between my 2021 album and filling in gaps in earlier albums so for your autumn/school scraps, I would look fo a similar themed photo (s) in a different album to use them on. We've had some good sketches posted in the past that use scraps for banners, layering, squares/circles/hexagons/triangles... And there is a scrap challenge this month.... I struggle with collection kits also - I like that everything coordinates but I never finish them up. I am trying to get better at tossing the small scraps but it's hard. For all that I scrap...I don't seem to be making a visual dent in my stash. That's partly due to shopping but I really DON'T shop that much - it's mostly because my layouts are so product light.

I am definitely a scrooge. I keep scraps. I scrap with scraps. I am overly efficient with paper (gutting, conserving). I still consider the half that is used to be a win, but it probably helps that I keep my scraps (of all sizes) in a different place than my full sheets. I also try to just use the paper, so I don't gut unless it's something I would still buy today at full price and I don't have anything comparable in my stash. I had scraps left over from the 7Gypsies paper I just used, but realistically they would only have been useful in a pocket page and I didn't love the paper enough to store it and try to find something else that would coordinate with it the next time I could use it. I think it was Linda who said she worked out how many layouts she would need to make with a collection pack to use it all up, and how it made her pause and really consider future purchases. That really resonated with me in terms of using my stash, because while it's not large by pea standards, I'd have to make a really large number of layouts to use up all my paper.

used up another box of adhesive squares this week. I've been flying through my adhesive lately too! I used a pack of rub on’s only because they all went bad. Does that count 😂 Totally! I was bummed because the last pack I went to use worked fine earlier this year, but were totally unusable when I tried to use them a couple of months ago and I had to throw them out.

I have used:
A piece of Cosmo Cricket paper from 2011, a We R Memory Keepers paper from 2013, and one other paper from that same general time frame. Go me.
I also used a knife, a fork, and a spoon die cut that I had no idea how I was ever going to use. Enter our recent camping trip: the spoon and knife went on a layout about camping pancakes, and the knife went on a layout about my failed attempt to amputate my finger while we were camping (with a butter knife).
I also killed a OA Public Library border sticker sheet...I had to build the layout around the remaining sticker to get it used. I still have the other two sticker sheets from that collection to finish off... I love that collection but those stickers are difficult to use up!
It feels good to use things though:)
