I’ve always thought that paints and crayons may have been the least popular in the Distress line, so maybe that’s why. Oh, and markers, though they were entirely discontinued. Lots of complaints about being dried out. My LSS stopped carrying them because of that. They’ve left a decent ROYGBIV/neutrals selection of paints. And the scarcity should cause more buying.
Since Oxides are opaque, I’d be more likely to reach for them than paints, which take more clean-up and are just messier in general. Or I’m messier using them. If real paints are needed I grab Paper Artsy’s. I don’t use paint much but at a class I became a believer in theirs. Like butter.

I ended up tossing all of them because they all dried out, even though I stored them flat. Such a waste of money. I'm glad they discontinued them since they were so awful.
