Wilderness is about five or ten minutes from the heart of Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg is about half an hour from Pigeon Forge.
Lookout Mountain is close to Chattanooga, and it is about three hours away from the PF/Gburg area.

If you still scrapbook, Pigeon Forge has a HUGE outlet scrapbook store. Most of their stuff is kind of crap, like really old stuff, but they have a wall of thickers that is to. die. for. They are $2.50-ish each! LOL

That's a tough call. It depends on what your family likes.
Gatlinburg - Dollywood, hiking, horseback riding, nature drives, touristy attractions (Wonderworks, Titanic museum, etc.), shopping, go carts, putt-putt, zip lines
Chattanooga - aquarium, artsy area of downtown, Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls, Civil War historic places, river activities (rafting nearby, tour boats)

Knoxville has a great zoo, could definitely spend some time there..Chattanooga has a lot more though as for things to do, with that they have an aquarium, discovery museum, they have a zoo too but a lot smaller than the one in knoxville. there is an Imax in Chattanooga too, and Ruby Falls, Lookout Mtn..
If you are into caves there is The Lost Sea, its in Sweetwater TN which is about 45 minutes south of Knoxville---between Knox and Chatt..if you look it up you can find more, but its a underground cavern that has a lake in it,pretty cool and isnt something that can be really replicated ya know?
