My washer just bit the dust. Emptied water all over the laundry room. It's 10 years old, so a new one is probably the way to go. I've heard that delivery times are insane. Months. Is this true? I do live in a suburb of Tampa at least.
TIA

Not personal experience, but a friend of mine went to Lowes on Sunday. Bought a new stove and a new microwave. Both were delivered yesterday. Stove was installed yesterday. Microwave was installed and old appliances were hauled away today. So....might depend on what you choose?

It depends on how pick you are, honestly. It took me a couple days to get a new fridge in the autumn, but that was because delivery was backed up. My only requirements were "white and not french doors". Then my oven died and it took 2 weeks for delivery, we went with a slightly more expensive flat top simply because it was available over the other type. My Dad just had to have a dishwasher installed and Lowe's said it would be a month. They called yesterday, it had only been a week to schedule, but then the driver was injured right before his house, so it's set for Friday...

It just depends on what you order. If you're flexible, you can find appliances in stock - if you're set on a particular model you may have to wait.

Definitely depends on the brand and the popularity of the model you choose.
Last year we ordered a dishwasher from Lowes in April with a three week delivery window. It finally arrived in mid July. Nightmare customer service.
We are redoing our kitchen as I type. We ordered 3 appliances from Home Depot on May 29 and the first available delivery date was tomorrow. We have been holding our collective breath waiting to be told the date was being pushed back.
Got word that the appliances will be delivered tomorrow between 1:30 and 5:30. Woot Woot. Still going to hold my breath until they are actually in my kitchen.
Again, I would say it depends on what you want as far as washing machines. Ones with all the bells and whistles will probably take much longer than the basic model. Not to frighten you, but the appliance installer that DH talked to to confirm that appointment said some people are waiting up to two years to get the ones appliances they want. Nope, 2ould pick something else before waiting that long.

We bought a basic, second fridge last month that was delivered within a week. Another fridge I was looking at had delivery times of October.

I ordered 2 wall ovens and a new fridge. They have delivery times set for between October and December. I am hoping my fridge won't totally die by then!

When our oven died we went and picked it up ourselves... so we had a new oven in a few days. My friend whose oven died a few months before ours waited two months for it to be delivered.
Don't ask about the freezer Lowe's sold us online that they had no record of selling but we kept getting delivery dates about... that was fun.

Check all the appliance places. We went a month for our washer and dryer but it was partially my fault.
From final order to installation it was less than a week
Eta: original order was best buy. Would have been less than a week and then I changed my mind on one of the models. Then they pushed back delivery and I could get it faster from home depot, so I canceled BB and went with HD

We ordered LG french door fridge, range, microwave and dishwasher from Home Depot May 24, they were to be delivered two weeks ago. The new date is Thursday the 29. I check my email for a delay daily. Thankfully still on for Thursday.

I for a new washer last month. I went to an appliance only store, not a big box like Best Buy or Lowe’s.
I walked in, and asked what was available. It came in 10 days. Our old one wasn’t working, so I needed it.
Bonus, it was exactly what I would have ordered anyway, the newer model of what I already had.

I bought a new washer and dryer last Tuesday. They were delivered Friday. I went to an appliance store and asked what they had in stock and chose from that list.

we purchased our new fridge on a Friday just before store closing and it was delivered on Monday morning (Lowes) - but we ended up with a different colour that we had originally planned and it was a little more expensive. But it was in stock and the one I had picked out was on back order.

We bought a new washer & dryer in April. The washer was available to be delivered a week from date of purchase, but we had to wait a month for the matching dryer.

Neighbor ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s and it was delivered in a week. It depends on your location and what you are ordering.

I think it's random. We tried ordering an in-stock fridge from Costco, paid for it and got a shipping date. Shipping date came and went - no fridge and no call from delivery persons on day of delivery. Called Costco - it was out of stock. Um, okay... Costco refunded because I wasn't willing to wait for an unknown amount of time for a refrigerator.
We found a fridge at Best Buy, bought and paid for and it was delivered within a week. A couple months later, the washing machine broke. I didn't even bother with Costco - went straight to Best Buy. Found one online we liked and it was delivered the same week (we upgraded the dryer, too). Easy peasy.

I recently moved a had to buy a new washer/dryer set and a new refrigerator. The fridge was delayed by about a 10 days but I had a specific size/model/brand that I wanted. I got the refrigerator from Costco and it was on a 60 day back order from Lowes and Home Depot so way faster with Costco. Washer/Dryer were no problem and were delivered within a week from HD.

My mother needs a particular sized microwave and it's looking like it may come at the end of August. But she ordered it mid June. They said they can't get control boards but who knows.

I spoke (posted) too soon! I should not have been so excited in posting. See my other thread about it.
Apparently, do believe a delivery date until the appliance is actually IN your house, LOL.

My brother ordered an over the range microwave back in March and it still isn't in.
My parents rent out a duplex and needed a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, range hood, washer and dryer for 2 units and was able to pick them up within a week. However, they went to a local appliance store and not a box store so not sure if that made a difference.

We just bought a fridge from Lowe's on Saturday and had it delivered today. Could have had it yesterday but we weren't going to be home.

We bought a French door, counter depth refrigerator about a month ago. We were limited on choices due to the space we have for the fridge, too. We were lucky to find one in stock at one of the Lowe's in town (the store we originally visited did not have it in stock, so we just went to the Lowe's where it was in stock). They delivered it within 2 days. We did ask beforehand which fridges were in stock, just so we didn't get our heart set on one that wouldn't be available for weeks.
