The Quick Look Embassy Suites Chicago - Downtown/Lakefront is nice. It comes with a full cooked to order breakfast and a two room suite. Plus refrigerator/microwave, the works. You'll need to take a taxi from any hotel. This one is in a nice location.

Shedd and the MSI aren't really close to each other. I would look on Trip Advisor and pick a hotel that you want to stay in and go from there.
If I were searching I would look in the "loop" area, or anything downtown, south of the river.
