Yeah, that's my point, the science says it's not necessary and the politicians say it is. We're not supposed to question the science or the people who ignore the science. That's propaganda, not science. No one is ignoring the science. The CDC is following the science. You can question the politicians all you want, but the CDC and the rules for the House are following the science. Scientists, epidemiologists and doctors are free to question the science. Still waiting for proof of your claim that the scientists are being censored. Could the CDC website provide more clear guidance? Yes, there’s room for improvement. The guidance changed just yesterday so I’m willing to give them a little more time to fix it before really criticizing. eta - There are plenty of other websites that do have clear guidance on the new recommendation. www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/07/28/1021795290/cdc-mask-guidelines-indoors-vaccinated-by-county-covid-spreadStill waiting for proof of your claim that the scientists are being censored. Great, I've been waiting even longer for proof of your claim that people drank bleach. And for your proof that you wouldn't dismiss someone you vehemently disagreed with on the other side of the aisle.

Nice try, but that’s not a gotcha. If that’s a picture of the Democrats from Texas, we’ve been through this before. The picture was taken before the recommendation changed. They were on a private plane - there is not a mask mandate. Furthermore, all of them have been vaccinated. They were following the recommendation and not breaking any mask mandate.

No, that's not a fair assessment. If you google looking for answers and you click on the CDC's FAQs it takes you to the answer and they say NO, you don't need to wear masks if you're fully vaccinated. Yes it says updated in June, but you rely on their answer and it leads you to believe that it wasn't updated because it didn't NEED to be updated. No one thinks they need to do a deep dive investigation on the CDC information to make sure their information is correct, up to date and doesn't contain contradicting info.

I’ll give you that one. It CAN be confusing. But it would be helpful if the Republicans would stop fighting the science every step of the way.
I can agree with that while also acknowledging that much of the information and people contradicting each other and the science should stop giving them reasons to feel like they have to fight it. (this hasn't been the only time or issue, not by a long shot)

Sorry, no. 11 hours AFTER I asked the question, you liking a post you AGREE with does not prove your point that you wouldn't dismiss someone you vehemently disagree with. Of course you would. Show one single post of yours disagreeing with a Trump supporter or even just someone on the other side of the aisle, that you didn't bulldoze over until they just gave up. Or that you didn't get the last word in about them being wrong and consider it settled when actually they just know it's futile to stand by their statement because it would end up like this. Just one. Still waiting for that proof from you.

When the covid vaccine becomes available to younger children, the newness might become a bigger problem. I don’t think the covid vaccine has been available for 12-15 year olds long enough for the CDC to have reliable statistics about hesitancy for that age group. Eta - Vaccine misinformation is a big obstacle for both covid and the traditional vaccines. McCarthy really is a moron. Here's his statement yesterday on the new recommendations regarding masks.
“Vaccines work and vaccinated Americans should not have to wear masks. The same bureaucratic ‘public health experts’ who completely upended our society by pushing lockdowns and yearlong school closures now want to force Americans to return to pre-vaccine control measures. By forcing vaccinated Americans to return to masks, the Biden administration is not only casting doubt on a safe and effective vaccine, but contradicting why vaccines exist. Children should not be forced to wear masks in classrooms for 8+ hours when the actual science proves they are at low risk of contracting or spreading the virus. Make no mistake — the threat of bringing masks back is not a decision based on science, but a decision conjured up by liberal government officials who want to continue to live in a perpetual pandemic state.”

But no, you jackasses had to go there and now the same idiots that vote for you are getting and spreading Covid and there is a good chance there will be another mutation that will break through this vaccine. All because you science denying pieces of shit wanted to pander to your uneducated and moronic base. ~signed someone who is vaccinated doesn't WANT to wear a mask, but will if need be because you all are selfish assholes

I'll just add to your letter.
If you and your friends in Congress would get vaccinated, share that information publicly (no, it is not a HIPAA violation) and encourage your constituents to get vaccinated, we would not have the surge that we're currently fighting. You are partly responsible for the unvaccinated dying of Covid. You're killing your own base. If we can't convince you to do the right thing for ethical reasons, then for your political careers, which are clearly a top priority to you (maybe the only one), do the right thing and GET VACCINATED!

What is this fool even talking about…
I have to say there are some things the progressives propose I think are nuts. Having said that I know their goal is to help the American People so I grumble about it and support most of what they propose.
But this stuff coming from the Republicans is not only nuts but dangerous to the well-being of the country. And if I was a Republican I would run as far away as I could from this absolute craziness that is the Republican Party,

Not one person stated that everyone took to drinking bleach. Here’s predictable Gia, attempting to negate factual truth. Some people DID drink bleach and other similar products. That’s all that was said. And here you are—instead of just admitting you were once again wrong, you double down, scrape the bottom of the barrel to find some rag who gives you an inch of hope to prove it false. Another EPIC Gia failure.

People are confused because of people like you. Constantly spreading disinformation, lies, falsehoods. The Republican Party is a fear mongering, lying disinformation campaign on its own. People like you opposing science/scientists under the guise of “questioning” does not make you smarter—it makes you dangerous and foolish.

Right from the article she posted.... It was NOT a myth!!!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, "the daily number of calls to poison centers increased sharply at the beginning of March 2020 for exposures to both cleaners and disinfectants." Bleach "accounted for the largest percentage of the increase (1,949; 62.1%), whereas nonalcohol disinfectants (1,684; 36.7%) and hand sanitizers (1,684; 36.7%) accounted for the largest percentages of the increase among disinfectant categories. Inhalation represented the largest percentage increase from 2019 to 2020 among all exposure routes, with an increase of 35.3% (from 4,713 to 6,379) for all cleaners and an increase of 108.8% (from 569 to 1,188) for all disinfectants."
