This may sound weird but for awhile I could bring to mind the last time we hugged. I mean I could "feel" that hug. I can no longer do that and it makes me sad. She was such a good hugger. Not a little "pat, pat" hug. But a really tight full on hug that said I love you.
My DS moved out to Arizona. For the longest time he went to work and to the grocery store and no where else. Of course some of that was due to covid. He does have a room mate so at least he is not alone. He is a gamer, he continued to do that. When I talked to him he was very monotone.
He is now a little better. He has been going to friends house some. They have gone to a few events. Him, DIL and the group of friends that he knew before he moved out to Arizona had all gone on vacation to Mexico some years ago. They are now planning a trip back to Mexico in October. He hasn't made any new friends.
I have only seen him once since he moved out there. He is coming for a visit on the 19th. He took today off work. I don't know if he will get out of bed today. I'll call him later.

I am so sorry for this loss in your family. My niece passed away in early December, unknown cause at age 32. We are still in shock, especially her husband of 10 years. They didn't have any children.
I think of you often, a whole year - wow!

My husband died in October of 2019. I was still in a huge fog when the pandemic started. Somehow I thought things would get better when things went back to “normal”. Unfortunately, my normal is still without him and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and how much I miss him. The hole in my life is humongous. |
