AUGUST challenges:
PRODUCTSP-1 FOILED again! Use foiling or foiled elemtents anywhere on your project.
P-2 Bring the BLING! 1 point for each rhinestone, enamel dot, pearl on your project
P-3 Washi tape - 1 pt for each different washi tape used on a project, 5pts for each roll you use up or donate
P-4 Scraps - 1 pt for each different scrap used on a project (scrap defined as a piece of cardstock or PP leftover from another project)
P-5 Wave Your Flags! - Use flags or banners on your project.
P-6 Sticky words - Take a point if you use more than 3 word stickers/word diecuts on your page
P-7 - Frames, take one point for each frame you use
P-8 Less is more | Use less than 10 specialty items (pattern paper, embellishments, any kind of mixed media) on your project for 1 point. Less than 5? 2 points.
P-9 Now you see me, now you don't | Use vellum or a semi-opaque product (glassine bag, matte acrylic embellishments) for 1 point per TYPE of semi-opaque product used (e.g.: 2 points for vellum and matte acrylic embellishment on a project but only 1 point for multiple matte acrylic embellishments on a page).
P-10 GLow in the dark...use products that glow in the dark on your cards or LO, there is embossing powders, gems(I just got some at HL)and diamond dotz. 1 point per LO page or card.
P-11 Old is new again: 5 points for each project that has both old stash (say, at least 5 years - bonus 5 if it's 10+ - yes, I have stuff like that in my stash) combined with something released in 2021.
P-12 patterned paper for the outdoors. 1 point for plaid. 1 point for clouds. 1 point for floral or trees (again, not a flower, nor a tree die cut, but rather a pattern like pp). 1 point for water or waves.
SHAPES/ICONSS/I-1 Octagons! Stop signs (hey: look at the PHOTO challenge) or any other 8 sided figures.
S/I-2 ALMOST LIKE AN EGG - 1 point for each oval on your project
S/I-3 Olympic Rings - Use rings on your project.
S/I-4 Get to the point - Use arrows, chevrons, pointing signs, etc. 2 points for every type of pointer
S/I-5 Stars...for every 5 stars you use take 1 point...if its a galaxy background 5 points
S/I-6 Blooms 1 point for every flower on your layout.
S/I-7 Sunny Days. throw a sun on your project for 1 point
COLOUR/Moodboards:
C/M-1 AUGUST BIRTHSTONE - 1 point for using green on your project
C/M-2 Gold Silver Bronze - Use any of the colours gold, silver, or bronze on your project. One point for each of the colours used. Bonus three points if you use all of them.
C/M-3 Monochromatic | Keep it simple and make a mostly monochromatic project for 1 point. All monochromatic project? Take 5 points. Monochromatic photo on top of monochromatic project? Take 10 points!
C/M-4 C/M Tokyo 2020 | Be inspired by the official Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games colour scheme shown here below (source). For each coloured featured in your project, take 1 point.

TECHNIQUES:
T-1: Make a splash! Use droplets or splashes of wet media on your page
T-2 COLOUR IT UP - 5 points for hand coloring a stamped image on your project
T-3 Stay in your Lane - Stitch or draw lines on your project.
T-4 Stamp it! One point for every non-alpha stamp used on your layout
T-5 Stencil it! Use at least one stencil on your project
T-6 : On a diagonal: a point if you put paper or pictures on a slant
T-7: roughing it! Tear or distress your edges, 1 point per edge.
T-8 die cutting duplication dimension - 1 point for each die cut that you layer up to create dimension on your project. So for each die, you will have to cut at least 2 of it.

:W/T-1 In honour of AUGUST,
use your A words. One point for every word beginning with A in your title.
W/T-2 LET'S ALL SMILE - In honor of smile week (August 5-11) 1 point for each time you use the word smile on your project
W/T-3 O-L-Y-M-P-I-C - Take one point for each of the letters O L Y M P I C in your title. Bonus 5 points if you actually use the word Olympic in your title.
W/T-4 Wordy | Lean into your journaling for extra points. 0-24 words: 1 point. 25-49 words: 2 points. 50-99 words: 3 points. 100+ words: 5 points.
W/T-5 And I quote... | Quote someone else's words or a book, use song lyrics, include a news article, etc. for 1 point.
W/T-6 Rule of Threes. 3 points if you use at least 3 fonts or letter sticker types or forms of letters in your title. Your handwriting could count as 1 as well.
THEMES:Th-1 Back to SCHOOL. One point for every element that is school related. Two points for every photo of children or adults on their way to or from school. FIVE points for the word SCHOOL at least once anywhere on your project.
Th-2 LET'S EAT - 1 point for every food focused project
Th-3 Happy Birthday! August is my birthday month so....1 pt for a birthday card or layout
Th-4 Disney Dreams. 1 pt for every Disney (or similar theme park - UNiversal, Legoland etc...) layout
Th-5 Faster Higher Stronger - Do a layout about a sporting event, either one you competed in or one you watched. Bonus 5 points if it's about the Olympics.
Th-6 Swimming Gold - In honour of Australia's most successful swimming Olympics ever, do a layout about swimming, at the beach or in the pool - anywhere!
Th-7 Lions and tigers and bears, Oh My - Scrap your pets, a trip to the zoo - - - 2 points for every animal picture
Th-8 Home Sweet Home - Do you have a favorite space in your home? A garden or other outside space? Are you looking for a new home or updating a room in your current home? Painted a room, built a deck?
Th-9 Book to school For each book on your project, take 1 point (photos included)
Th-10 Present day | Documenting July or August 2021? Take a point! Cardmakers, if you make a card seasonally themed for the current season where you live in the world, take a point!
Th-11 Christmas in August | Any Christmas/end of the year holidays project (LO, DD page, card) gets a point! Works for NYE too.
NUMBERS/Sizes
N/S-1 ONE IS NOT THE LONELIEST NUMBER - 5 points if you use only one photo on your layout or a one word sentiment on your card.
N/S-2 Five Rings - Make a cluster with five items in it. Mixed media counts as an item.
N/S-3 Photo heavy. Take one point for every photo on your page
N/S-4 A big ZERO. 5 points for a layout with no photos
N/S-5 Numbers: 5 points for a number in the title
N/S-6 Cluster THREE. Include 3 clusters of at least 3 items for 3 points
N/S-7 Photo FOUR. 1 point if you scrap a photo of 4 or more people
RECIPES:
Re-1 Winning Formula - Take a gold medal, or ten points if you prefer, if you use all five ingredients:
1. Olympic Flame - use the colour red or orange on your project
2. Medal Tally - use something round on your project
3. High Jump - Pop those embellishments up high, using pop dots or similar
4. Fast & Strong - Use fasteners on your project such as staples, stitching, brads, paper clips etc
5. Make a Splash - Use mixed media on your project
Re-2 A Camping Good time! Complete this recipe for TEN points:
1. The long squished drive - at least 3 photos on 1 page plus 1 cluster of 5 or more items
2. Hows the weather? use a sunshine, clouds, or droplet (mist, or water droplet shapes or droplet pp)
3 lovin the wildlife: use a bird, butterfly or animal on your page. Could be in your photos or embellish!
4. Au natural: use Kraft or brown.
5. Do you like tents? Use at least 3 triangles
6. A change of pace: trusting peas to police themselves with this one. Use a colour, pp, design, piece of ephemera or technique that is truly unusual/not your norm! Stretch yourself in one way. If one of the challenges already in this recipe have already stretched you away from your comfort zone, you can count that.
OTHER:
O-1 SEND THE LOVE - 10 points for every dollar spent on postage sending handmade items or RAK's or crafty supplies.
O-2 Use 'em UP! Use up a monthly kit, 5 pts
O-3 Upcycling If you upcycle cards to donate them count them as 5 points each and if you recycle 100 of them add an extra 25 points
