As I posted a while ago, I temporarily misplaced a gift album I am working on. I found it. All is good. And in fact, tonight I went through and found a TONNE of cut apart sheets that I know I will never use, that will be useful for embellishing the pages - which is the only task I have left to do. When I went through the box of layouts, I realized I've actually started embellishing, so it isn't going to be too tough at all.
There's one thing I am struggling with: Titles. Well, specifically one title. There were a bunch of random pics of my cousin & her older brother; I turned them into a two page spread. A friend gave me an idea, but it is FAR to sappy. It was too sappy before; it's definitely too sappy now. They aren't close. Haven't been in ages.
What do you think about something simple like: Through The Years? I'm stumbling over that one because I associate that phrase with a romantic Kenny Rogers song, so my brain is going, 'You can't use that!' Though I very much doubt my cousin knows the song.
For the pics of the four of them, I'll go with Family Ties. With Mom - Just Me & My Mom Dad: Daddy's Girl And so on... simple stuff.
I do have this one 2 photo layout of them with a fish they caught... I could use help with that one, too. Her brother is looking very impressed with himself. She's just focussed on keeping hold of their cat & making sure he doesn't go after the fish. There has to be some funny way to capture that.

In keeping with the simple descriptive titles throughout the album, I suggest:
- Older brother 2-page layout: (Bro's name) & Me, Big Brother & Me, or simply Big Brother; I'm not a country music fan, so unfamiliar with your song reference.
- Fish layout: Catch of the Day, What a Catch!, Go Fish!, Something Fishy; the journaling can explain both brother & family cat were impressed with the catch.
HTH & hope your cousin enjoys your thoughtful gift.

Is your family okay with snark? - Siblings: our first friends and our first enemies - I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong - Did I roll my eyes out loud?
As for the fish pic, something like "Mine!" "No, mine!!" with the focus being on the cat.

I'll throw out my first thoughts:
1. Brother/sister: This was us.
2. If you want to focus on the sister/cat: Don't hold me back!! On the brother: Yep. It was ME! That is all I've got.
