MARIBETHR - wow, I'm crushing on the colours of the G45 cards you made! And your ATCs are lovely. Do you ever wonder who people in old photos were? Actually I do, and I even have a backstory on this subject. When I was young elementary/middle school aged, we lived directly behind a shopping center. There was a JC Penny in the center, and they had a seasonal photo studio. After the photos where available for customer pick up and there were photos that did not get picked up they would just throw the packets of photos into the dumpster. Dumpster diving was a big deal back in those days and so my friends and I would dig out the photos and we would make up entire stories about the people in the photos. Names, history, what their lives were like.

I've been so terrible about getting any pages done, I think I did just one PL this month! But I did make 12 masks, 10 shirts and labeled a bunch of things with vinyl for school. I've also been cleaning out my craft room, editing pictures and packing up for my retreat in a couple of weeks.

ComplicatedLady - I'm a huge nuvo drops fan too. But recently I've struggled with colour matching to my project - if feels like my nuvo colours are just a little off for my project. I'll have to see how my new CP inks clean off the stamps...it's been a few weeks since I used them so I don't trust my memory - but I'm pretty sure they came off like the distress oxides wipe off, not immediate staining like dye inks. I used one of my Hero Arts inks and it totally stained a stamp. Why that stresses me out so much, I’ll never know. Even worse, I happened to use a pink color and it stained my stamp bright pink—one of my least favorite colors! I’m trying to get into the mindset that stained stamps are loved stamps, but the clean clear ones look so nice that it’s hard. I admit I have issues. Totally admit that. For my Nuvo drops, lately I’ve seemed to have colors that match or coordinate well, so I’ve been on a small streak. I don’t have a ton of colors but I have enough variety to work with recent layouts. I’ll take it!!

I used one of my Hero Arts inks and it totally stained a stamp. They are the worst inks for staining! I have a navy of theirs I love, but I stay away from it because the stamp becomes so DARKLY stained I can no longer see through it to line it up on my project - and that's the whole POINT of acrylic stamps!

So the grunt work! I hit months like that too and it's only when you write it down that you realize how productive you are being. I've yet to try vinyl - head in the sand altho I'm seeing so many creative uses...

I'm hoping to get some down time and really be creative! I;m craving it, but prepping for ps and hs at the same time is wearing me down!

Sorry I have not been around much to chat this month. Busy with family and in the garden. And maybe just a little bit lazy by the end of the day.
I have added up my points for the month. Not my usual monthly total, but I managed to finish ten pages and twelve cards for a grand total of 728 points. I spent a bunch of money on scrappy supplies, and spent alot of days NOT scrapping, but unfortunately no one posted a challenge about any of those...

I have totaled up my points and have 725 this month. I did 14 pages and 26 cards, but didn't have time to count every detail point. Just easy peasy for me this month.

Somehow I thought august was going to be productive for me! 🤦♀️ I haven’t shared any LO here this month, but I did get one 12x12 lo done and 14 6x8 pages. Total pts 252.
