Anyone else at work this morning wishing they were crafting instead? Happy Monday. I made a mistake on my Whatchamacallit and had to frog two rows. Now I'm ready to proceed forward but this pesky job is getting in my way today.

jeremysgirl - I'm back at work next week and I know I'm going to feel that way too. kellyr21 - those are so cute! The first 100g ball of yarn made all 30 of these. Each one will have a final row in cream to turn them into squares, which I'm starting next. But aren't they pretty?

They are beautiful, and those colors will pop once you add the other color. Can't wait to see it done. And kellyr21 those are very pretty.

RedSquirrelUK - they are so pretty. I love the variety of circles you have made from just the one ball. This is one use of variegated yarns that really works.

Yes, yes they are. I particularly like the bottom row I tried to fix my sock, it didn't go well so now I just have a wound up ball of yarn! Honestly I feel like everything yarny I touch turns to s*&t atm so I'm having a break from it for a while.

Maybe the pattern is out? I'm thinking of arranging it like a sunrise over the hills. I'm not sure yet. If so, the yellow will be the sun. There's a lot less yellow than any of the other colours. I can't stop looking at it!

Yes, yes they are. I particularly like the bottom row I think it is that bottom row that made me buy a peach pie instead of the Dutch Apple Ds was hoping for. Those colours together just scream summer as a kid. Peach pie, sherbet, yellow swiss dot dresses...ah, summertime as a kid. 😻

I told my DH it's like crocheting with Opal Fruits, or Starburst, or whatever they're called these days. Shows how long it is since I ate any!

I've just laid out the finished squares on the bed and I calculate that it will take 200 squares. I've made 30 in a week, in a big spurt of enthusiasm. At that rate it will take another 10 weeks plus the attaching and edging - let's call it 12. Add in that I'm starting work again and I'll be lucky to get it done for Christmas. That's mildly depressing.
Ah well, I'm not going to put pressure on myself. I'm not going to stop enjoying doing it, even if it's not finished by Christmas next year. And meanwhile I'll do a lot of admiring and stroking, I suspect. lol

Just finished a mini puff quilt (17"x18") for when I get a new cat companion. Sewed the puffs by hand then dragged out my sewing machine that hasn`t seen the light of day for years. I really prefer hand sewing but it was a bit much sewing the crossover seams. My late Asha had one of these quilts and loved it so hoping next fur face will as well. edit. Size is 18"x22"

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! My yarn has arrived. Major excitement. It's a grey, miserable day here and the yarn is brighter in real life than in this photo. Did you order from the ice website?

No, they were out of stock at the time. I got it from a site in the UK. Ice Yarns have it back in stock now.

I don't do well with deadlines period. I'm much more a go with the flow type of person. That CAL nearly killed me a few years ago. I felt like I was struggling to catch up. it was a terrible feeling.

The color of that fabric is beautiful. I can see a black kitty just loving it and looking amazing on it. P.S. my black kitty is my favorite. Shh...the other animals don't know it.
