I hope he recovers and uses his experience to further the efforts to get people vaccinated

So he is actually saying he is GLAD he got vaccinated or it would have been much worse. Is this not a good thing that he is saying it is a GOOD thing to be vaccinated. Maybe it will encourage a few more people to get vaccinated.

She got it before the vaccine was available and never fully recovered. Dh has diabetes and other health issues and works in the hospital. I am fearful of him getting it. |

I am fearful of him getting it. This was the second loss in 3 days. They are all members of the same church with a 35 count of positivity. That is what was know 2 weeks ago. 2 other churches in our area have had outbreaks at the same time. |

I mean, I think Lindsey Graham is a garbage human but I actually applaud him for saying he has it, he is vaccinated, and is glad that he was vaccinated or he could be much sicker. That's what we want the unvaccinated to hear and act on, and that audience is much more likely to listen to Graham than anyone on the other side of the aisle. Hopefully it will inspire some of the unvaccinated population to get vaccinated.

I'll make more fucked up comments, but you are right, it is rude. I mistakenly thought he was one that poo-pooed the vaccine, but I looked back and he got it in December and told people to get it when they could. |

I hope his statement gets someone who hasn't been vaxed to do it. I'm going to be really pissed if I end up getting a break through infection. I know in all likelihood my case wouldn't be severe, but if more people got vaccinated the less likely it would be.

He has congestive heart failure & a-fib, COPD & emphysema, type 2 diabetes (soon to be type 1), bladder/prostate cancer (removed both organs after chemo), etc. I get too scared to see him go anywhere other than the doctors' offices. The hospital (last week) was frightening enough, especially when we heard quite a few nurses admit that they weren't vaccinated yet. It affects people like your friend, my DH and other people at risk. It's terribly selfish. Again, my sincere sympathies for your loss. xo |

He too was working with covid patients in the hospital. Congress people lined up immediately before health care workers because they not only thought the shot was effective, but also safe. They should have a responsibility to inform and educate the public. Instead, some of them just refuse to acknowledge they have gotten the vaccine (not Graham) |
