I want to have some 8x10 portraits developed for gifts, who do you use? I have read about Mpix, Printique, Nations, ProDPI, etc. and am confused. I like vibrant photos and usually choose glossy. I care about the quality and if I have to pay more that is fine, so I am not looking for the cheapest price. I want something more professional than a place like Shutterfly. I am going with 8x10 because it is a standard size if the people I give them to want to frame them. Thank you for any recommendations.

My first choice is MPix. The quality I have received from them in the past has been amazing. My second choice, but not really second, is Persnickety Prints. They still develop photos, rather then just print them so they will last much longer.

Back in my photography days I had an account with mpix. Their prints are beautiful.

I am really pleased with the quality of the photos from mpix, thank you for the recommendation. The 8x10 photos I am giving to people look great and I ordered an 11x14 for myself I love and am going to frame.
