Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested people in Alabama should greet anyone coming to their house with vaccine information with the barrel of a gun. I think MTG has had covid, maybe Paul? For a while, he kept talking about how he had natural immunity because he had covid. The cowardice and hypocrisy of these Trump Republicans who get the vaccine but then tell supporters - I support your freedom and choice etc. - is unbelievable. I’m betting that a lot of the 100 Republicans in the House who refuse to disclose their status have had the vaccine.

Well, at least he’s doing something. The antibody infusion treatment seems to be effective at preventing severe illness, maybe more in those already vaccinated? Abbott is still a jackass though. Sorry for those of you who live in Texas.
DeSantis on the other hand, is just sabotaging his state’s efforts and actively trying to prevent cruise lines and school boards from taking precautionary measures. Even if Florida needed help, I doubt his ego or presidential aspirations would allow him to ask the Biden administration for help.

I’m sure we’ll hear about how Twitter is censoring her, but I’m glad they suspended her. Too bad it’s not permanently. The gall to claim that the vaccines are ineffective to blame the Biden administration for something developed during Trumps presidency. Not that either one of them had a lot to do with the development, but the Republicans sure like to take credit and at the same time unfairly blame a Democratic administration. Not to mention the misinformation in the middle of a surge in delta.

Sure kill the rest. CNN had a young man on this morning who had been scheduled for surgery on Aug 4th to remove very suspicious/cancerous lymph nodes in his neck. His surgery has been put off until the 18th. No guarantee it will be on. He says he can feel that the lymph nodes are getting bigger... This may well be his life at stake. I hope someone somewhere invites him to a hospital outside of Texas now.

Then those supplies/equipment/PPE are not being used in elective surgeries. It won’t stop the spread except it will keep some people out of the hospital for elective surgeries where they might possibly come in contact with a covid person I guess. |
