Yes he resigned on Live TV...watched it. I wasn't watching it, but it seemed like he was live for a long time when I went to the new website. Did he spend like an hour defending himself before resigning? |

Did he come on after his lawyer ? I was watching the lawyer and turned it off. Turned TV back on 1/2 hour - 45 minutes later and he was resigning.
Did the lawyer then turn the news conference over to Cuomo to resign ? What a waste of time giving the lawyer air time if at the end he was going to resign.

Good. Any person with credible claims of sexual harrassment against them shouldn't be a governor. (Or a senator, or Supreme Court justice, or president.)

When I walked in the door (I leave the TV on for the dog when I am gone) he was taking "responsibility" and then resigned. I also think the writing was on the wall when his top advisor resigned yesterday |

It's already been drug out too long and we still have another 2 weeks of garbage. State promised schools they would be reopening guidance and then last Thursday said "never mind, schools and local governments can figure it out". The state fair is in my county. My county executive has been in talks with the state about some covid restrictions at the fair. Today my county executive took matters into his own hands and made masks required inside buildings at the fair. State government is too busy worrying about covering his butt to actually govern. I'm totally fine with them saying that local governments and schools can decide...just not with them keeping the schools on the hook for the last month saying guidance is coming. Our schools could have been spending the last month making plans instead of being in limbo. |

I am glad that he resigned, and glad that he waited for the investigation to conclude before resigning. Now there is evidence, and NY will have a female governor. Good riddance.
