Generally I have a pretty strong dislike for the collections Photoplay puts out but I have to say the friendship collection is one of the better collections I've seen from them in a while and there are a couple of pieces that I think I'll consider once it's released.

I really dislike the friendship collection. The colors are too dark for what is a happy subject, IMO. It's also too old-fashioned for me.

Guess that's not my colour combo Yes, the soccer is totally cute - I have zero soccer players in my life. And I have to add - I just realized that some peas probably feel that visceral way about the teal/pink combos or rainbow combos we see over and over again. No wonder they complain a bit!!!

I like the soccer one, it’s refreshing to see colors other than green, white & black. But, I don’t have any need for it. I don’t always like Photoplay collections but compared to other companies, they seem to have more collections with different styles, color combos etc. I don’t feel like they keep recycling and reusing collections with a similar look & feel.

I have no use for the soccer collection, but I think it's great! Nice bright and fun color palette! I like the idea of the friendship one, but like a lot of you, don't like the colors. I might get a few pieces to mix in with other stuff.

I think some of the papers in the friendship collection would work for a formal event (wedding, senior ball, etc) but I agree with other posters that the red is throwing me off. It could also work for valentines day, lol. I have no need for soccer at the moment.
I like photoplay better than simple stories, idk what it is about simple stories but the patterns and colors never appeal to me. But I understand posters who say they never gravitate towards photoplay either.

I really love the color combo and a lot of the b-side papers, so will likely pick up some of the paper, if not the collection pack. I'm not particularly interested in the ephemera pack. I wonder if the white is actually white, or more of a cream that's just reading as white against the other pale neutral shade.

Nothing. I have no use for any of those. The friendship subject is nice, but not my style or colors.

I love the soccer collection. My son played soccer for seven or eight years and I still have a ton of pics to scrapbook.

I find it interesting that so many peas really dislike the friendship collection, while I, who normally dislikes everything, don't mind it. I agree that it's a fairly dark combo overall, but I'm not a collection scrapper so maybe that's why it doesn't deter me. Like this paper (which admittedly is one of the lighter pieces in the collection) I imagine cut down to a 4" strip and paired with white cardstock, and the red used as a punched border strip. Or this one which I would use in the same way, would be super pretty with photos of my grandmother with her friends.

Not a fan of the friend papers for the same reasons others have noted. I like the soccer collection but we are a baseball and running family so no need for it!

There is some unwritten rule all soccer lines must be predominately black, white, grass green and orange. Always and for.ev.er. and clash with your daughter's royal blue soccer uniform...

I do have collections, but they are sorted by theme. So the fall page may have three or four different companies' products.

I love the colors of that friendship collection. I find the red and teal so striking together.

I like Photoplay because they don't look like the frilly girly flower and pink stuff (at least most of the time). My color choices are generally bright and bold. The other two lines are great, but not a fan of the friendship one.

So many of the Echo Park papers look alike in colors, that is for sure. They are also one of the fewer companies that puts out sports lines frequently though. This Photoplay one seems brighter and I do like the stripes.

Nothing is added to my wish list. I don't need blank calendars or soccer themed supplies &, like mikklynn , find the Our Friendship Thru The Years collections too dark, floral, & "old-fashioned" overall, but do like the versatile Burberry plaid on the reverse of Born Brilliant. ...I like photoplay better than simple stories, idk what it is about simple stories but the patterns and colors never appeal to me... Perhaps it's the cream base that often varies among (& sometimes even within) SS collections. Per recommendation (probably on a past thread here, although uncertain the source), I've found that Bazzill Vanilla cardstock matches the cream with the pinkish undertone used in SS collections. That was also my first thought! Although theme-challenged, I really liked the reverse sides of the EP line - larger black/white hexagon pattern, versatile diagonal stripes, & distressed solid orange (that I used on basketball layouts). There is some unwritten rule all soccer lines must be predominately black, white, grass green and orange. Always and for.ev.er. and clash with yoworkur daughter's royal blue soccer uniform... Agreed, just like all graduation & NYE lines must be black/white/gold, dog lines blue/orange/masculine, cat lines pink/feminine, etc. IMHO, however, royal blue works well with this color palette; I would use a royal blue cardstock to frame the perimeter of the layout (& be certain to "gut" it, so I could repeat the color throughout the layout as a photo mat, to diecut letters for the title, mat a journaling block, or the like).
