Echo Park's 2021 Christmas collections are out, which is what inspired this post. I think they have 4 this year... plus Carta Bella has another 2-3. Yikes. I think I average one pp (split between 2 or 3 patterns) per layout, and make 3-4 Christmas layouts per year, which is probably on the low side. So for me one Christmas collection (or Halloween, or Fall, or Birthday) could potentially make at least 12 layouts, probably more... No wonder my paper stash never seems to get depleted Halloween usually is one layout per year, which is why I am still working on Cosmo Cricket Halloween paper from 2009... What about you?

For me because I cut down to 8.5x11, I usually need more pages. For DGDs book there are man Christmas themed layouts from decorating the tree, to visiting Santa, baking cookies, Christmas Eve....
I also still do books for my adult sons and they get pages of whatever photos I have to make a summary. DS1 always has a Christmas party I do layouts for, etc.
I would say I probably do 10 layouts for DS1, 20 layouts or more for DGD, and DS2 who lives elsewhere, probably 6 pages. So between 35 and 40 Christmas themed layouts. Of course if we visit relatives then add 6 pages per visit.
Halloween DGD has pumpkin patch and all that so probably she gets 8 Halloween themed layouts, and DS1 gives a Halloween party so at least 4 for that.

I just looked in my Christmas album and last year I had 4 double page layouts with multiple photos. I also had 4 double page layouts the year prior. I tend to do a spread or page for when we visit my dad, a page or spread for when we go to my MIL's house for Christmas Eve, a double page spread for our house Christmas morning and a page or 2 from when we visit my mom's house. I'll sometimes do a page or 2 about my Christmas décor or our Lego Christmas village.
My son is 19 now so I do have less pages than when he was little.
I like to use lots of pattern paper but I usually can't get through an entire paper collection for one year. I still have tons of Christmas paper even after scrapping 20 years of Christmases! I'm not planning on buying any of the new collections this year unless it is truly something unique and different.

A lot of these collections are also used for Christmas cards and some people build DIY albums with them. Echo Park still has cardmakers posting "XX cards with [EP collection name]" on YouTube whereas I find that I see less LO process videos posted about these same (recent) lines.
I don't do a single traditional LO with physical products these days but I still get through quite a bit of paper with my December/Yule album.

I have two adult sons with SOs that come over for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day might involve a walk or hike but nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes prior to Christmas we'll make gingerbread houses and this last year my husband bought a Grinch sweatshirt that was passed around for the Grinchiest person to wear until the next person said something smart assy. I got a lot of pictures. I made 4 double layouts for the Christmas season.

Zero. In the past I would make one based my kids portraits for our card. They rarely wore traditional Christmas colors though. I’ve been doing December Daily for 7 years and use kits for that. I don’t typically scrapbook events and holidays though.

I haven't scrapped December 2020 yet and 2019 was the one year I did a December Documented album (which with 60 8x8 pages did use up some product) so I think only 3 double page (8.5x11) layouts for the main album.
2018 had 22 pages (8.5x11) that used Christmas supplies - St Nicholas Day, Advent, Christmas... 2017 had 18 2016 had 15 2011 had 21
But I'm a heavy cardstock scrapper and while I use more PP at Christmas than other times...I'm still not using a ton per layout or a ton of embellishments. My Christmas drawer is stuffed to the gills despite making a gazzillion cards last year and doing a bit of a purge. I need to go back through - a lot of what is left is the harder to use stuff that doesn't really fit my style and/or photos and probably needs to be donated.
As for Halloween - one layout? maybe several if we do a pumpkin patch? Dh bought me an October kit from Authentique and I used it up last year. I made 8 pages (8.5x11) and 60 cards with it and still had a few scraps left. That was eyeopening really.

If we are counting all of the festivities, baking cookies, decorating the tree, making a village, watching the movies, having the cocoa, leaving cookies & milk for santa, and opening gifts..... Quite a few.
20-30, probably.

I make a DD each year, but typically don't buy a collection or kit for that, instead I'll buy a paper or two to use as the base for my homemade kit. I use patterned paper as my backgrounds in pocket pages, but do go through more than I thought, maybe 10 sheets of paper. Then I'll add 3 or 4 layouts to my yearly album as well, using up to another full sheet for each of those. Christmas is the one area I don't overbuy simply because so many collections are winter/snowy focused which doesn't suit my weather or my photos.
And halloween is still not really a big thing here (although retailers are trying to make it one), but I will pick up the occasional paper for scrapping either my black cat or myself.

Probably 6.
We don't do a lot of pre-Christmas stuff so most of my photos are of making cookies or opening presents.

In general, I am terrible at taking photos during Christmas. I generally find it a very stressful time of year going back and forth between my parent's house and my partner's and trying to balance time with everyone. Usually if I get a layout or two done, it is good. Sometimes even when I take the photos, I just don't have the desire to scrapbook them after. This does not stop me buying Christmas paper though. This year I bought Vicki Boutin's Christmas line, and I have some end of November/early December holiday activities intentionally planned (including building a Lego Winter Village, mbanda!). Not sure if I will do a December Daily to try to get myself in the mood, or if I will just try to focus on being in the moment, finding some joy and taking some photos. I love the Halloween collections, but since I usually don't do anything I tend not to buy them. Yay for actually being able to resist one whole type of scrapbook supply! This year my partner and I have some plans to do some Halloween decorating, so that might warrant a layout but I will likely be very selective in what supplies I pick up.

I don't scrap as many photos as I used to, so generally 2-4 layouts for Christmas. I don't buy collection kits, just a few pieces of pp for whatever I like. I like to mix and match them so they aren't all just one collection. I will also use it for cards, tags, other holiday crafts, etc.
I actually end up making more halloween/fall layouts because I like them more, the colors, collections, stories, etc. Plus it's like a season versus one day. But still probably only do like 4-6 layouts maybe.
I don't really plan it all out, just whatever the mood strikes!

Probably 6. We don't do a lot of pre-Christmas stuff so most of my photos are of making cookies or opening presents. I do Christmas day, maybe going to get the tree or putting the lights up (depends on the year and how the photos turn out), the annual photo of the kids under the tree, and maybe Christmas cookies, or gingerbread houses. My indoor photos never turn out great, so I do a lot more layouts outside during the summer.

Sometimes I use several pieces sometimes 1 or 2.
I make the following layouts each year:
Lights drive (drive around town to look at decorations)
Parade (last year was drive thru due to Covid)
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
Decorating the tree
Photo of the kids with their dogs by the tree
A layout about the special gift the kid got
Any other fun activities we do.
So 7+ times 2 = 14 or more layouts each Christmas season.

Christmas open houses Work Christmas party. Christmas pajamas A photo of the holiday goodies that are given to me (box of chocolates, cookies, fudge, breads, etc... Decor/tree Photos of whatever my cat gets me for Christmas. She always knows just what I want. During the covid times.... Decor Cat Present from my cat.

I actually never do any Christmas layouts because of December Daily. I've done a DD since 2009 and I've purchased a whole collection that I've liked and used to create my own kit. Some years I've used AEs main kit and for a couple of years I've used FJ kit to do my albums. All that being said, my favorite ones to create and look back on have been all but AEs. Which was interesting to me, here I thought her kits would make things easier, turns out my creativity goes with the ease.

December is our busiest time of year to see friends and family (well, in the before times, anyway). I typically do a separate album for just December with 30-40 pages that cover the whole season through New Year's Eve. I also have a DD8 so there have been more photo ops with Santa, baking, going to see Christmas lights, and other events that are kid-focused for the holidays.
