I am trying Persnickety for the first time and got everything in my cart, but then it said that some of my photos were not large enough and they might not turn out well. All the photos are ones I took on my iPhone, and I know if I printed them at Walgreens (as I have done 1000 times) they would be fine. Has anyone else experienced this? I am able to check a box that says basically I accept the quality might be less, but not sure I want to spend the $$ on a gamble. It's about half my pictures, and they are not anything special, just snapped photos. I'm bummed because I was really excited to try a better photo printer than Walgreens. TIA!

I wouldn't use Persnickety under those circumstances. I used them for a "special" photo that I wanted to be full 12x12 size. While it was beautifully printed - the cropping was not. I never was able to determine if it was me - or them - but I ended up paying a pretty penny for a huge special photo that was not what I wanted. If the photos are not "special - just snapped photos" and they are already giving you a warning about their process - I would consider another printer -- SnapFish or Shutterfly - both are on-line, pretty easy to use and much less expensive than Persnickety Prints.

I get that all the time on my photos 5x7 or smaller prints and they always come out just fine. I have never been able to ascertain what makes some of the phone phots have a lower quality. I snag many photos from family that are posted on FB and get that message as well, but the photos are fine when printed. IMHO

Check your iPhone settings...Under Camera > Formats > ...If High Efficiency is checked off then the file size is reduced, it's an iPhone thing. I do Most Compatible so it gives a Jpeg equivalent. I am pretty sure Cheri has tutorials either on the PP site/blog or thru her Instagram to show to get optimal results. I thought she said there was a way for them to convert the HEIC formats. They have really good customer service so you can include a note on the order and ask and let them know you only want the photos if they come out well or if they can help you to get a better upload. I put all kinds of requests in there and they always reach out and help work it out.
