What I don't get is that he is still holding rallies. Has any other former president held rallies like this? Maybe they have and I have just missed it. Now he can't even LEGALLY say he's running for President in 2024! That's because he'd be held to some ethical standards with the $$ he's been grifting... err... raising. It would have to go to his campaign vs. his pocket.
He's still holding rallies (and speaking anywhere he can!!) to raise $$ for the mortgages and debts he has coming due in 2022! He's grifting, again!

More very disgusting... Gaetz is truly despicable. Surely she will realize it soon ... She not only KNOWS it, but she's perpetuating it. He prob thinks she can't testify against him (re: his pedophile legal mess), but in FL the laws are different. I'll try to post them, but it basically states that a wife can't testify against a husband REGARDING WHAT THEY'VE LEARNED WHILE MARRIED! She knew everything beforehand!

I thought is was a spouse could not be compelled to testify against the other one. But could if they chose to... Guess I shouldn't speculate at all.

revirdsuba99 : I'll post that law as soon as I could find it again!! ETA: Found people quoting FL spousal law: 2 of 5 exceptions to spousal privilege: 1)is asked to testify about matters pre-dating the marriage 2)is charged with human trafficking for immoral purposes (such as prostitution) even current spouses may be compelled to testify against a spouse in a criminal trial or grand jury About FL water: We've had the "rotten egg" smell & discoloration since we moved here 10 years ago! It's silent knowledge here that if you live in a house, you get a water filtration system and carbon filters on all showers, etc. Most people in apartments do the carbon filters on showers at least. We don't DARE drink the tap water. Using the dishwasher often makes the dishes MORE dirty/stinky, but washing them by hand is just as gross. I've checked into filtration systems but they won't do anything in this complex about the water. They all stand by the "water is clean here!!" You can't ever get water reports, etc. down here. I haven't been able to get it. It's no surprise that they use oxygen to clean the water here vs being environmentally clean! Instead, people are free to use poisons on their lawns (roundup, etc...) and let it all filter into our drinking water.

This is not a parody. It is his present campaign ad in Georgia. I'm a conservative, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-Trump, God-fearing truck driver, and I'm not afraid to say I was pro-Trump from day one," Collins says in the ad. "I believe in the Constitution, and that the founding fathers got it right the first time. I will fight like hell to secure our elections, defend our Constitution and stop the immigration invasion. ... Washington needs an overhaul, and we the people are taking our country back." www.rawstory.com/gop-candidate-mike-collins/

Cawthorn at his best... Ignored the floods in western No Carolina. His first tweet about the floods was 24 hours after the waters had peaked. He then tweeted out photos that were over 12 hours old and the flood waters had already gone down. GOP's Madison Cawthorn scorched in local paper for his 'dereliction of duty' amid flooding disaster Matthew Chapman August 23, 2021 On Monday, the Haywood County Mountaineer published an op-ed slamming Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) for ignoring the needs of his constituents amid catastrophic flooding that has wrecked homes and businesses across Appalachian North Carolina. "In a 24-hour span from Tuesday into Wednesday, Western North Carolina experienced flood destruction on a level not witnessed for 17 years," wrote Callie Pruett. "Yet, as the floodwaters rose with fury — destroying homes and businesses in their path — and finally receded in the late morning hours of Wednesday, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC-11) released no statement, no list of resources or shelters for constituents, and not a single tweet in support of the thousands in WNC residents suffering from the flood. On Wednesday morning, more than 30 of his constituents were still tragically unaccounted for, according to the Haywood County Sheriff's Office." Cawthorn, who has repeatedly used his social media platform to attack COVID-19 vaccination efforts, still found time to tweet while the crisis was going on, noted Pruett — he wrote about Trump's border wall and Instagrammed pictures of himself "smoking cigars and listening to conservative podcasts." Meanwhile, wrote Pruett, Cawthorn and his staffers seemed genuinely caught off-guard by the flood of constituents begging for help, not even realizing their services would be needed. www.rawstory.com/madison-cawthorn-2654741495/

Anti-mask NY Post requires masks everywhere except sitting at your desk!! Hypocrites at best .. New York (CNN Business)The New York Post, the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid that has peddled a high volume of anti-mask rhetoric during the pandemic, informed employees this month that they are required to wear a mask while at the office, according to a memo obtained by CNN Business. *** The New York Post's mask mandate is the latest example of the brazen hypocrisy in Murdoch's media empire. Murdoch's media organizations, such as Fox News and the Post, have disparaged public health officials and the guidance they issue about vaccines and masks. But these media organizations have quietly required their employees to follow the very same health protocols that they've lampooned in print and on air.www.cnn.com/2021/08/23/media/new-york-post-mask-mandate/index.html

Another former's cabinet member trying for the big payoff... Selling 'Covid' help? And yes, it is the public's business via the reporter's info!! Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who served as Secretary of Energy under former President Donald Trump, is pitching Texas schools on a new product to deal with the state's COVID-19 crisis. The Houston Chronicle reports that Perry held a lengthy press conference in which he pitched an air-filtration system called Integrated Viral Protection as an alternative to mask mandates in schools. However, the Chronicle reports that Perry has a financial interest in the company behind the product, and he got snippy when a reporter asked him about how much of a stake he had in seeing its products succeed."Well, that's none of your business," he replied to a reporter. "I'm not a public official anymore."www.rawstory.com/rick-perry-2654765801/?cx_testId=15&cx_testVariant=cx_1&cx_artPos=1#cxrecs_s

When will it end... Missouri paper calls out Republicans over Covid deaths. Wonder what the paper will choose to do when it is time for election endorsements?!? On Monday, the Columbia Missourian published a scathing letter pointing the finger at Republican lawmakers in Missouri for the state's COVID-19 crisis — and noting that the ongoing deaths and illnesses could keep people from traveling to the state at all. "For Missouri Republicans who continue to deny the COVID-19 reality, there is an anecdote that could be multiplied, perhaps, by thousands," wrote Arthur Hoffman, a St. Louis based alumnus of the Journalism School. "For a family reunion from four states, the Lake of the Ozarks was chosen for activities that suit all ages" — but one family from Chicago canceled their plans after their pediatrician strongly warned them against travel to Missouri due to a risk to their health. One recent report found that Missouri had the fourth-highest death rate per capita from COVID-19 in the nation. Some politicians in the state have promoted false claims about the virus, including that it can be treated with a drug formulated to deworm horses. Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican, has attacked mask mandates even though he himself was infected with the virus last year. www.rawstory.com/missouri-2654765943/?cx_testId=15&cx_testVariant=cx_1&cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s

Maybe we should have a fraud, illegal action thread for sitting elected officials? Boebert neglects to report source of DH income, hers .. ownership of gas sources from their property and he is paid by them while she sits on the gas and energy committee! Heavy losses from her Shooters bar and why did that bar need a cargo plane? Conflict, much? As the AP and the Washington Post recently reported, Rep. Lauren Boebert, the pro-gun Colorado Republican and Trump loyalist, failed to disclose that her husband worked for an energy consulting firm even as she pushed for looser regulations on oil and gas drilling as a member of the House Natural Resources Committee. If the intention was to conceal the source of the Boeberts' income and the obvious conflict of interest, the Post reports, the failure to disclose could be a criminal act. Further investigation by Salon reveals just how closely tied both the congresswoman and her husband, Jayson Boebert, are to the Colorado natural gas industry, which raises the question of why Rep. Boebert was assigned to the committee with direct oversight over-regulating that business. www.rawstory.com/lauren-boeberts-gas-problem-far-right-lawmaker-concealed-blatant-conflict-of-interest/?cx_testId=15&cx_testVariant=cx_1&cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s

I am just so glad that so many people protesting the Proud Boys showed up and basically caused them to relocate and prevented more damage since the police were reportedly not there.

You REALLY can't make this stuff up.. FL AG Paxton wrote his own report clearing himself of 'crimes'... Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released his own report Tuesday claiming to clear himself of allegations that he repeatedly used his office to do favors for a campaign donor. You can't make this stuff up. "It's not clear who authored the report or how many work hours or taxpayer dollars went into producing it," The Dallas Morning News reported. "The agency did not immediately return a request for comment Tuesday morning." Although Paxton is under FBI investigation for the alleged favors, it should be noted that this is not to be confused with his previous indictment on different corruption allegations. "In a separate matter, Paxton was indicted in 2015 and has been facing three felony charges since then for allegedly defrauding investors in a McKinney tech startup," the Morning News reminded its readers. "He has pleaded not guilty but not gone to trial in that case." These allegations -- incredibly pending for six years -- are unrelated to the newest ones. As to the new allegations, Paxton's own office boldly assured Texans that there was nothing to see here. "The 374-page internal report declared all of Paxton's actions regarding Austin real estate developer Nate Paul 'were indeed lawful'and that all allegations against him were 'either factually incorrect or legally deficient.' It added there was 'no evidence' of a bribe or quid pro quo relationship between Paxton and Paul," the Morning News reported. www.rawstory.com/ken-paxton-tx-crimes/

Rick Lowery an editor for National Review . Despite this, some Republican commentators are still insisting that none of the current challenges in evacuating Afghanistan would have been an issue if Trump were still president, and one of the biggest purveyors of this idea is National Review editor Rich Lowry. www.rawstory.com/trump-afghanistan-2654779522/

Here's your laugh for the night!! Former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Fox News on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump's tenure in office was practically crisis free. While talking with host Jesse Watters, McEnany pointed to the current evacuation in Afghanistan as proof that Biden wasn't up to running the country, and she predicted three more years of crises to come. When President Trump was president, you didn't see crisis after crisis," she said. "You just didn't see it!" In fact, Trump's administration was plagued by unprecedented executive branch turnover that saw him burn through six different national security advisers in just four years; a botched response to the novel coronavirus pandemic in which Trump suggested the virus could be treated by injecting disinfectant; and two separate impeachments, one for trying to extort the Ukrainian government into investigating Joe Biden and another for inciting a deadly riot at the United States Capitol building. www.rawstory.com/kayleigh-mcenany-2654780391/

The big lie, Jan 6th which all still linger .. You know, I don’t think people are getting the memo that our democracy is still hanging by a thread and we are no longer that shining beacon. I think the people trying to come here for assylum ought to know we are 1 voter suppressed election away from an autocracy right now ( be it 2022 or 2024 ) and they might want to put a pin in trying to come here. There are other countries south of us that are not hanging by threads.
