I’m way up state ( and west ) today for work and I just passed what is probably the most offensive sign I’ve seen.

The sign has a painting of a medical style face mask and next to it it says “terrorists wear masks”


1 - I’ve never seen a terrorist wear a medical style face mask - ski mask but not a medical style face mask
2 - who insinuates that medical professionals are terrorists during a pandemic?

Alabama has another child preditor. (alleged)

A staff attorney for Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has been arrested on a child solicitation and was immediately fired.

Chase Tristian Espy, 36, is charged with child solicitation by computer/electronic solicitation of a child, which is a Class B felony.

Espy, a Birmingham attorney and former deputy general counsel in the Office of Governor, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday, according to jail records.

The Vestavia Hills resident was released from lockup at 1:56 a.m. Thursday after posting $30,000 bond.

Tchen resigned from 'Times Up' Seems she consulted with A Cuomo.... Not so good,!!!

The president and CEO of TIME'S UP Now and the TIME'S UP Foundation is resigning, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

On Wednesday, The Daily Beast reported "Tchen and her team were hit with an avalanche of damaging revelations in recent weeks, starting with the news that she and former board chair Roberta Kaplan had consulted with Gov. Andrew Cuomo on how to respond to allegations of sexual harassment against him. Kaplan stepped down more than two weeks ago, but Tchen has hung on, claiming she is 'committed to rebuilding trust' with the communities the organization harmed."

In Los Angeles, I think downtown and a few other cities, there are floor sensors that start the the clock upon parking. I think this is more meter-based (to increase profits). I could see this technology used for municipal parking violations.

Iwent to the Trump International Hotel in Washington Thursday evening to do some investigating. The rates that night started at $2,400, well above the usual $400 to $700, and I wanted to find out why. Upon entering, I saw a big sign that read “Arrow Exterminators.” I confirmed that the exterminators were customers rather than contractors, and, with that assignment checked, settled in at the bar to see if any swamp people of note were still showing up with Trump out of power.

One $17 prosecco and no dignitaries later, I got up to leave, taking photos of the place to capture the scene. I then beat my usual exit path, walking the length of the lobby to people watch before heading to the restroom to wash my hands and snag a fresh tissue. Twenty seconds of scrubbing later, I was still in the restroom, texting, when the hotel’s director of security, Ernest Wojciech, opened the door, took a quick look around, and left.

Text sent, I exited the restroom and turned left to swing by the hotel ballroom before leaving. From several feet away, however, Wojciech beckoned, informing me that I was walking the wrong way. I did an about-face and, when I reached Wojciech, was notified that I was being told to leave.
