What is your signature or favorite color combinations for layouts, & why?
What color schemes outside your norm have you used on a layout lately or plan to try soon, & what was your inspiration?

Monochrome.
I wouldn't say it's my signature but I use it frequently. So dark green cardstock with all patterns/shades of green paper. Or navy cardstock with blue papers etc.
It's a great way to use up scraps.

Neutrals and navy (which is a neutral to me But for some events (bdays, celebrations) I go for a more multi-color palette. If I look through my many albums, I tend to go w/neutrals most, I do red/white/blue for summer or just blues and sand colors; I do tans, browns, oranges for fall pics; I do creams, light oranges, light yellows and lots of bright green for spring. Not exactly groundbreaking but to me the colors of my layouts are one of the first things I decide on, based on the season and the photos.

I think my signature palette is that I don't have one - I'll use whatever colour/colours work for my photo(s). I love colours and pulling them together

I like bright bold colors. Not a fan of muted, vintage or pastel.
Love >> Fuschia, lime green, sage green, olive green, black, cranberry, burgundy, purple, pinks, blue.
Like and use if the occasion or photos call for it >> yellow, orange, red, brown
I like mixing and matching. Colors and patterns.

My current favorite color combo is purple and turquoise together. Sometimes I add pink, navy or gray. It's so pretty! I like the idea of doing a monochromatic layout that breetheflea mentioned above. I think that sounds fun!

I love colours and pulling them together And you are soooooooo good at it! You have a wonderful eye for colours. I wouldn't say that I have a signature colour combination, but I seem to be drawn to: blue and green purple turquoise aqua pink orange yellow

Can my answer be yes?
I don’t think I have a signature palette. I just really like mixing color and pattern.

I'm not sure that I have a signature colour combo but my pages are often white + a soft(er) colour. I don't think I necessarily shy away from scrapping any particular colours, even browns have a place in my album, but I use a lot of blue/aqua and pink.
I have been trying to use more patterned paper lately, helped along by Shimelle's half and half class which really pushed me to use way more pattern than I'm typically comfortable with. My last pages definitely had a lot of pattern, starting from an old sheet of 3x4 cut aparts that were journaling boxes for kinder all the way through to year 12 in much brighter shades of blue, red, yellow, green, and aqua than I'm used to working with, especially all on one page.

I am always drawn to orange, yellow, and hot pink. I also love turquoise and lime green. Anything bright and summery, so most pages I scrap have summer and vacation photos on them.
I also love fall colours so I enjoy scrapping fall pages.
I have a hard time with winter and spring photos because I'm not a fan of colours that I would use for those pages.

My "signature" color palette is different shades of grey & white paired with at least one other color (e.g. grey/white/woodgrain, grey/ecru/chocolate, grey/ecru/kraft, grey/white/black/red, pale grey/white/navy, pale grey/white/purple/teal, pale grey/white/pink, griege/white/fushia, griege/ecru/black, griege/ecru/kraft, charcoal/white/orange, charcoal/white/lime) because it provides a crisp, clean, & neutral foundation for my stories about our teen & his activities.
Thanks for your responses. You've inspired me to try some of your color palettes (probably paired with a shade of grey & white) on upcoming layouts.

That is tough one because the colours that I love to use the most and are drawn to are pink, blue, yellow and aqua in both brights and pastels and I have a preference for a white base . The colours that I use the most are more likely in the realm of blue, green, kraft and pink. I let the photos do the talking and steer me in the direction of the papers that I need to use and a lot of what I love to scrapbook is our travels so those colours fit in with that.

I usually doodle with black pen on white paper, and not beige. For colors, I am drawn more to blues than greens, so for December daily I tend to do more blue/silver than green/gold.

I don't think I have a signature color palette that I gravitate to, I try to use the colors in the pictures that I'm using. That said, I do have 2 paper pads I've bought for specific trip scrapbooks (yes, I know, I haven't taken these trips yet, but I sorta kinda had to have them). I want to use the Bee's Knees pads for a trip to Tennessee and a few other stops throughout, and By the Sea for a Boston trip. I'm also hoping to start a scrapbook soon of all the ticketed events we've gone to. Those will probably be a hodge-podge of colors, but I want to put title pages (for lack of a better word) before each section, and I've ordered some page pieces from Simple Stories to go on those and will likely coordinate something there.

I love pink, gold foil and black. I use those colors whenever I can. Color schemes outside of my norm? That's a hard one. Probably primary colors. I might use those on a colorful layout with DGD. But I generally avoid the pure primary colors for other more muted shades.

I don't have one....is that strange.

I'm not sure I have a palette, but I use a lot of blue and green. A lot of B sides from lines that are probably more muted like boy and camping lines. I've liked brighter colors recently and it's probably because of how blah everything has been for the last 18 months.

I scrapbook the way I dress so it's mostly black, white, grey, navy, etc. with straight lines and not a lot of patterned paper or tons of embellishments.
