I can't even begin to think about all of them but it occurred to me we need to save those in one spot or another.
I freely admit my first thought went to the Dead Aunt cookies from BelleMagic! I make those every Christmas.
Anyway I seriously could use help remembering all the different recipes that got posted and copying them over - making an epic thread.
So to get started the cookie recipe from BelleMagic (and I copied her post word for word to save for posterity.
*****
My Great Aunt made these AMAZING cream cheese cookies. Everyone in my family loves them. About 10 years ago she gave some of us the recipe. I have made them a couple of times....but they never came out right. It drove me crazy! I could not figure it out.
My Aunt passed away about 1 1/2 years ago at the ripe old age of 93!! My cousin was going through the box of cookbooks she left behind. She found the cookie recipe and it is NOT the same recipe she gave us. The recipe was titled "Secret Cream Cheese Cookies" on the back of the recipe card along with the "secret" frosting recipe it said " DO NOT GIVE OUT UNTIL I AM DEAD"
The woman was a RIOT!!! LOL!
****UPDATE*****
Cream Cheese Cookies
1 cup butter 1 sm pkg of Cream Cheese (3oz) 1 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 2.5 cups flour 1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter and cream cheese . Slowly add sugar beat until fluffy Beat in egg yolk, add flour and vanilla. Mix Well. Chill dough For at least 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15 mins.
Frosting 2 cups powdered sugar 4 tablespoons lemon juice 4 tablespoons of butter 1 grated lemon rind
Cream butter and add sugar slowly add lemon juice and rind. Spread on warm cookies
Sometime my Aunt would put a cherry on top of the cookies.
Just a disclaimer.... I have not made these yet! Your results may vary! LOL!!!

Yvonne's Done-to-death Apple Bread
oven 325, bakes in about 1 hour and 10 minutes
3 eggs, slightly beaten 2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon vanilla
3 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 cups chopped, pared, cored apples (about 3-4) (this puts to good use that darned apple/peeler/corer slicer thing you got at a Pampered Chef party years ago and never used!) 1 cup chopped pecans
topping: 2 Tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to slow 325. Grease and flour two 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans (or I use those mini loaf pans)
2. Stir together the eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla in medium sized bowl until well mixed.
3. Combine the flour, soda and cinnamon on piece of waxed paper, and then then stir into liquid ingredients until just evenly mixed. Stir in the apples and pecans. The mixture will be very thick and gloppy.
Divide between the loaf pans.
4: Prepare the topping: combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small cup, and sprinkle over the loaves.
5: Bake in preheated slow oven at 325 for 1 hour and 10 minutes, approximately. Check it carefully with a tester inserted in center comes out CLEAN. Make sure it's done. Sometimes in my oven they take longer than the time specified. Make sure they are done. Nothing worse than raw middle.
Let the breads cool in the pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Run a thin knife around the edges of the pans. Remove the breads from the pans to wire racks to cool.
The breads are better the second day. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or foil and store at room temperature.
This is easy to make with ingredients always on hand. It's so good. People will beg you for the recipe. Then you will give it out, and it will appear at every single function you attend there after, and then you get sick of it. Don't hate me, I told you so. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was the first that came to mind.

I've asked if the admin would create a recipes board for this very purpose ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Hopefully she'll do it.
