I like using Travel Notebooks for my sketches and scrapbooking of everyday events, so here’s today’s sketch. It can be used as a regular scrapbook page (I.e. 12x12) but my example is a TN. here’s the sketch link www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/sketch/4155723.htmlSketchtember #3 example by Dana, Here’s my take on it. Sketchtember #3 TN edition by DanaI rotated the sketch and used a Travel Notebook interpretation of a 12x12 layout. The circle highlights worked as one TN page and the photos worked for the other. I still need to add some journaling but the overall sketch works for multiple size albums. eta the twist- this layout is brought to you by the letter A and the number 4. Use a title word or something on your layout that starts with an A or use a group of four embellishments, shapes, or photos.

Thank you ComplicatedLady - that one will be easy to make 8.5x11. I love your sample with the dinos! Is there a twist?

Fun sketch! I’m envisioning small circle photos in the bottom area instead of embellishments. I’ll have to see what I can come up with!

ComplicatedLady I see a physical twist where you flipped the background colour scheme. Did you have another twist in mind? Or would that work? I like the sketch. Reminds me of Shimelle’s half&half classes. And your dinos are perfect for that fun photo!

I like the sketch. Reminds me of Shimelle’s half & half classes. I've nearly finished my page and that's exactly what I've done with it. I was hoping there would be some sketches that would work well with a half and half background so I was pretty happy to see one so early in the month.

ComplicatedLady it looks like you're having some trouble getting your images to show in your post. I'm not sure if you're posting from a phone or computer, but on my computer I choose the BBCode option once I've clicked on the arrow in the bottom right hand corner of my image to Share Photo. The text should look like this (I've added spaces so it doesn't turn into an image): [ url=https://flic.kr/p/2mkPwKc][ img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51420115017_a9db5e0335.jpg[/img][/url ][ url=https://flic.kr/p/2mkPwKc ]Sketchtember #3 example[/url ] by [ url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/113432565@N05/]dkr_33[/url ], on Flickr

I had a lot of fun with this one! This is the second LO in a row that I used some of the To the Moon collection. I’m loving the colors right now!

AussieMeg ooh honey joys, I haven't had those in forever! Funny story, I once burnt my arm when I was too impatient to wait for a fresh batch of honey joys to cool and dropped some of the hot cornflakes onto myself. Off to leave you praise in the gallery.

Yes, the green and navy combo is eye-catching schroema ! And I'm tempted to make my own Honey Joys, AussieMeg I've never made those! Everyone is knocking this sketch out of the park. I do TN's sometimes, so I want to hold onto this sketch! I've been wanting to scrap this photo that I stole off Facebook. My daughter in law posted a picture of the twins and in case you can't read her post, she says "These are the faces of kids that know they were naughty but still scored presents!" Hahahaha! Thanks for the inspiration ComplicatedLady!

Here's mine. I stuck much closer to the sketch than I expected, my first thought was to flip it like ComplicatedLady did with her sample, but I only ended up flipping the title to add it into my journaling block.

MDscrapaholic I love how you've added layers behind your photo to give it more visual weight and added the title into it, and your DIL's caption made me laugh.

ComplicatedLady , thanks for the sketch. I enjoyed making my page. Cute dinos! AussieMeg , colorful, pretty and yummy! schroema , the sky paper is such a nice touch, and using photos in circles was a great idea. I love a good rocket launch. I have a water rocket launcher in my garage, and lots of soda bottle rockets that we designed and used in experiments. MDscrapaholic , I enjoyed your sweet and balanced Christmas layout. Chinagirl828 that is soooo funny, the vintage photo with the moustaches. Your colors compliment the photos so nicely. linda , the fish paper, so cute! And the cat themed circles. Midnight and Scott ARE the cat's meow. This is fresh from yesterday's bike trip. Yah, the alignment is a little "casual" ...

Linda I love how the kitty in the title piece appears to be looking at your photo, and your mix of patterns is just lovely. jjpeapea I'm so glad I'm not the only one who plays the "if I owned this house" game I love how you've used those circles at the bottom for the little people.

schroema, what a great idea to use the circles for extra photos. So clever. I also love the photo in the corner. Your embellishments are perfect. How I love Cub Scouts. Thanks for sharing. MDscrapaholic, I love the use of the music paper on this sketch. The circles repeating throughout the sketch are perfect. That photo is delightful. What cute children. Great Christmas layout. ComplicatedLady, AussieMeg, angel97701, and Chinagirl828 you have love in the gallery. Linda, great photo of Midnight. I love the “kitty” touches you added to each of your circles. The PL card is a cute addition. jjpeapea, your page made me laugh. I am delighted that you love that A-frame and would love to turn it into a Fisher-Price look alike. The A-frame house was my children’s favorite toy, so this really resonated with me. What a adorable, and fun page. Perfection! justjac, I love your page about your plant blooming. Your colors, patterned paper and die cuts on your circles are spot-on. This looks like a page I would expect to see in a magazine. Just so beautiful and eye-catching. Congrats on the bloom.

nylene Those magic puzzles sound fun. I like the balance between the top and bottom of your layout. And how the colors are echoed in the puzzle. angel97701 Awwwwwwww! What a sweet and special layout. Those are some favorite verses. I feel honored that Sketchtember was special enough to share your special moment. So pretty.
