(current law does not allow taking the "morning after pill" or other pills to abort the embyro) This ploy is to call the pill a religious ritual.
Satanic Temple Floats Devilishly Clever Strategy To Dodge Texas Abortion Law “We will not be cowed into silence by an unjust law,” declared the temple, which links reproductive freedom to religious freedom. This is clever. Don’t know if the FDA with give them the okay, but it should be interesting. tinyurl.com/fbakedwy

I think it is amazing. I think that all of the different strategies they are using are incredible. I am ready to sign up and support them!!

I think there is a campaign to make sure women know about getting mail order abortion pills (someone is offering them for $100--a lot but maybe doable)

That's awesome. I'm getting a tiny sliver of hope for humanity back.

Wow! I hope it's granted for those who need it.
That said- I had to use misoprostol (cytotec) and it was HORRID. It was the worst experience of my life. I had a nonviable pregnancy, my body wasn't doing its job and miscarrying it. My doctor (who was no longer my doctor after this) didn't seem to see the need for a d&c so I "got" to put these meds inside myself and force my body to miscarry at home without pain medication or support. It was dehumanizing and just horrible. Painful, gross, heart breaking. AND I ended up needing to do it TWICE because my body didn't clear all of the "products of conception" the first time. I actually had a primitive placenta stuck in my cervix that my NEW OB had to remove in the office before she sent me home with new pills to finish it out because at that point there was no reason to do a d&c. Sigh. My heart hurts for any woman who needs to go this route but at least it's there for them.

But, is it possible after Sept. 1, 2021? Good question. Not sure Yes. I can get Plan B easily. Not that I need it post-hysterectomy. The thing is that it's no good to a woman who just found out she is pregnant at 6-8 weeks along. It's meant to be taken very shortly after unprotected sex.

I hope there are organizations out there who can help in these situations - even if it's just to help explain the process, hold a hand, make a cup of tea.

I came out the other side with a new understanding of just how horrific and dangerous women's health care can be if not done properly. I'm also VERY glad my years of having children are behind me.
