It's quite a long article so it's going to take me a while to get through it all, but I appreciate that the New Yorker is very well documented and fact based for the most part.
I feel it only confirms what many of us saw coming during his entire term.

Seeing it all laid out on a timeline, his actions are beyond corrupt, they amount to treason. Shame on the Republicans for not impeaching him, for not calling him out and in some cases, enabling him. Also shame on McCarthy and other house Republicans for voting against the Jan 6 commission and turning it into a political battle.

It was set up to fail from the very beginning, giving way to much veto power to Republicans when it came to subpoenas and questioning. There was no way it was going to be any better than the previous attempts to hold DT responsible. I have much more faith in the current Congressional investigation that is controlled by Democrats.
