i've been purchasing from Spellbinders on a regular basis for the past two years. Shipping has consistently been $5 (I never reached any free shipping thresholds). They are having another of their endless sales, but there are some good deals to be had this time around (at least for me). I was shocked that six items in my cart ($24) would be $10.10. I think I will pass this time.

I had a few things in my cart too and when I went to checkout it gave me 2 shipping options. $5.95 for standard shipping or $9.90 for priority.
The change must be recent, my last order was in June and shipping was $5 then. I also see that they started charging sales tax in mid July.

I ordered two discounted items from them this week for $11.49. Shipping was $4.45.
