missing Gabby Petito from Wyoming, traveled in van with bf

Just wanted to let everyone know that tonight (Saturday, September 25th) on 48 hours CBS at 10:00 pm Eastern time there will be a show called "Inside the Disappearance of Gabby and the Hunt for Brian". It will also be playing on Paramount Plus.

I've set my recorder to record the show on CBS. 

Be careful with the time... There is an earlier football game .. I added extra time at the end.

I’m just relieved/glad that they were able to charge him with something - even though it is just the debit/credit card charge - so that aiding him hide is also illegal.

There is absolutely no way that he would have charged/withdrew over $1K on that card if he was so distraught that he would suicide. I’m betting those purchases were mostly related to his escape plans.

Why? Does he hold the authorization to apprehend Brian? Was there one awarded to him?

I saw an interview with Dog the Bounty hunter. He had some pretty good opinions on where Brian could be. He made it sound like he was looking for him. I also saw a John Walsh interview. It was informative. But at the end he was saying he hoped that Brian offs himself. He is filled with rage at this guy.

I also saw a tic tocker compare a book Brian read to what Brian was doing and behaving. It's really eerie!

    Can you tell us where you saw the John Walsh interview? I still would like to see it. 

    There was some talk on websleuths about the book Brain was reading. I haven't been on there in the last 2-3 days, and I don't remember the title but folks on there were saying it was a sci-fi book (I'm remembering this so I could be wrong), that it was a recent popular book and that it didn't have any connection with with domestic abuse or what Brian was doing or how he was behaving. I really wish I could remember the title. Did John Walsh mention the book?

    I did catch the John Walsh interview with Ashley Banfield on NewNationNow by trolling though youtube. I thought it was a good interview and he has some great theories. I've never watched Ashley Banfield before but I liked her manner and composition on camera as she went over this case. I watched a few more of her shows on youtube on this case where she brought in a few other experts. Many of those experts believe Brian was never in that swamp. 

Thank you also for the name of the book. I went over to Goodreads to check it out. It's not the same book that the posters over on websleuths were talking about. It could very well be that he was spotted reading two books. "Lullaby" is the most concerning one for sure. 

What I learned from what I watched:

After Brain returned from the west alone his parents bought a brand new camper top (most of you know this but I didn't understand what it was) for their red pickup and his parents and Brian took off in it for a 3 day camping trip! Why on earth would they go on a 3 day camping trip with their adult son in a very cramped pick up with a camper top, while their son's fiance is missing? The same fiance who lived in their own home for 2 years? This comes from their neighbors who told the police. John Walsh theorizes that this is when they took Brian away and gave him a chance to hide. It gave them 3 days to get wherever they decided to drop him off. I forgot what the day was that this happened. That's important I know. 

John Walsh thinks they traveled either north and let him off at the Appalachian Trail or traveled west and dropped him off near Mexico where Brian could have easily slipped across the border. He says he has found 45 (I think that's the right number) missing fugitives in Mexico that the police could not find. That he has connections in Mexico willing and able to help. That Mexico does not want someone like Brian. As for the Appalachian Trail he said that Brian is someone that is able to survive for months on that trail, but Brain isn't realizing  the mass of social media and how the public is involved in this case. That he will be caught. 

When Ashley Banfield asked him if Brain was watching right now what would you like to tell him John Walsh said something like (my memory is terrible) The right thing to do would be to turn yourself in, but I know you won't do that because you are a coward. So do the next best thing. Kill yourself. Spare the parents of this beautiful girl that you took out of this world the agony of a trial. Spare them from sitting in the courtroom and having to see the photos of her body that the police found after so many days in the wild. You know what I got back when my son Adam disappeared? All I got back was his head. Spare these parents that agony. Kill yourself like the coward you are.

That is why he suggested that Brain kill himself. I understand it now. He was thinking of Gabby's parents and his own experience. My heart aches for John Walsh, his family and for Gabby's family. 

WOW, that video is 3 hours long??  I saw the title and in part it said, "a body in Pasco".  I live in Pasco County, and that's NO SURPRISE.  We've seen so many bodies since we moved here, that it's ridiculous and sad.  That being said, if a body was discovered in Pasco, it could be a drop in the bucket (so to speak).

Yikes! The only thing I know about Pasco County is what I've seen on LivePD.

    No need to apologize at all. I just checked in myself today. It's been a couple of rough days for me too. Sunday I had a upset stomach with the runs all day and Monday I had a migraine. Stuff happens. I'm much better today and back in the swing of things. Hope you are doing well too.

I only watched the TikTok that showed the book similarities at 19:57 of the 3 hour video ... 🤯 creepy and weird.

On Monday, September 20, liberal MSNBC host Joy Reid addressed media coverage of the Gabby Petito missing person case — stressing that while Petito, a 22-year-old white female, should certainly be covered, it's wrong that there isn't "the same media attention when people of color go missing." Reid's comments have inspired a great deal of discussion, and in the Bay Area, anchor Frank Somerville has been suspended by KTVU-TV Channel 2 (a Fox affiliate) after a dispute over a tagline that would have noted the disparity Reid pointed out.

According to Bay Area News Group reporter Chuck Barney, "KTVU was prepared to air a news report detailing the latest developments in the case. Somerville wanted to add a brief tagline at the end of the report that questioned the extraordinary level of media coverage devoted to the story. Sources said he wanted to point out that the U.S. media often disproportionately covers tragedies involving young white women, while largely ignoring similar cases involving women of color and indigenous people."

Barney reports that the 63-year-old Sommerville, whose adopted teenage daughter is Black, "was told that the tagline was inappropriate, and he apparently pushed back on it."

"There was no word on how heated the discussion got," Barney notes. "Sources said that Somerville was informed by station management the next day that he was being suspended."
