Recently I have been really disappointed with the colours that I have been getting from my Selphy and was thinking about getting rid of it and buying something else. Last night while I was printing off photos from the Cannon app I noticed that the colour and quality had changed back to the vibrant and clear photos that it used to print...until I made a collage photo in the project life app and printed that, it was those washed out colours and a slightly grainy, flat finish that I have been so unhappy with.
Has anyone else noticed a change in the quality of photos if you print at home from the project life app?
I also use an android phone and I know they have struggled/ignored us android users.

I have never been impressed with my selphy.... all pics look more washed out / less vibrant, event though I've bumped up the colour setting on the printer. Because we can't get the Epson here in NZ / Aus, I shelled out for the Canon TR150.... and have been really impressed with that. I can print really nice photos up to A4! AND print journaling on cardstock. It's portable with a great battery.... honestly, I was so surprised by how well it does. It's intended as a portable printer for the likes of sales people I guess, but it makes a brilliant companion at scrappy retreats!

I'm part of the minority who has always been happy with their Selphy prints: very vibrant, good contrast. The dye sheets have given me very good results. However, I do not use third party apps to print which may be the key here. It could be a compression issue between the PL app and the printer.

scrappydo thanks, I might have to look into that. I have been considering dropping the big bucks and getting an home printer that I can use for photos and for printing digital downloads but that could work too. sleepingbooty , I have always been happy too and could not work out why the prints had changed, I am guessing it is something to do with the project life app as in the early days of me buying the Selphy and using the app I did not have this issue. I printed the same photo out using both apps and the colours were crazy different.

Maybe they changed the color proliferate it’s saving in. That will makes a difference. I don’t use the PL app since I use PS to edit and change sizes so I don’t know if there was a change.
