Wednesday Sketchtember 15th...halfway peas! july12_12x12_b-351w by kirstendrew, on Flickr Here is your basic sketch - but remember to "twist" it up, by following one or more of the sketch alterations listed below. You can do ONE of the sketch changes to consider the twist completed, but every other one done is a bonus point: 1. TURN the sketch 90 degrees 2. use TAGS or STRIPS of paper instead of the solid block of paper behind the photo 3. Add mixed media to your background 4. Instead of a whole border around the edge, doodle a border, or stitch a border. 5. Change your photo size, and use 1 or 2 4x6 photos, or 1 5x7 photo Here is my rendition this week. layout lend a h'elfing hand by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Great sketch! I was surprised that I hadn't seen it before, and that I didn't already have it saved in my sketch stash, because it's just the type of sketch I would normally go for. Then I saw that it was from way back in 2012! It looks so fresh and current. I guess that even though products and styles have changed over the last ten years or so, the basics haven't changed that much.
I've made my template, chosen my photo, and am now trying to find the right papers and elements. I hope to have mine uploaded later today.

Love the sketch and the layout! I'm so behind on everyone's sketches, but I will definitely try and get this one done soon!

I turned it into a double page but only page 1 uses the sketch and I flipped it for the twist.

kitbop - love your elf! this was a great sketch and I was surprised at how old it was - still very current looking. jjpeapea - love the stamped (?) border! What a neat event to help with! We play a board or card game most every weekend - and when DS comes home on leave, nearly every day. We're big into games

jjpeapea - love the stamped (?) border! What a neat event to help with! We play a board or card game most every weekend - and when DS comes home on leave, nearly every day. We're big into games I made my Cricut draw the border. I could never stamp so evenly. It was just an experiment, only partly successful in my eyes.

This is a combo of both sketch 9/14 and 9/15. Photos are similar themed and colorful, so they will be across from each other in his album Playtime by Neva Cole, on Flickr All lightweight Doodlebug Designs ancient paper, combined with die cut files just purchased (puzzle) and die cuts found in my stash crayons! Ancient stickers took the place of hand doodled border, because I really didn't like my pen work.

kitbop, thank you for the sketch. Your version is so delightful. She is such an adorable girl. More love in the gallery. Linda, I liked the way you flipped the sketch and I did the same thing. Your bright circles are a great match to your photo colors. Making it a 2 pager was brilliant. They are sweet photos of your family playing games together. jjpeapea, your use of the sketch is fabulous. I love the bicycle and the matching papers. Congratulations on your volunteerism with your radios. I’m sure it is greatly appreciated. Clean, classy page. My favorite kind! AussieMeg and angel97701, you have love in the gallery. MDscrapaholic, I love the title of your layout and that big leaf. Great photos of a special event. I love stripes and the smaller leaves also. That train at the top is a sweet accent. Here is mine: I flipped the sketch and added some tiny stamped flowers around the circles. The photo is a 5x7 our son sent us with 2 photos of Swayzee. It didn't scan well because of the high Pebbles dots. Country Strong

So many awesome pages. And again I am so far behind in commenting. Hoping to get there, but we will see... Here is my take, kitbop . I actually did it twice--once on each page. I twisted the sketch, used strips, and the photos are all 4x6. POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). SKETCHtember (2) + twist (1) + bonus (5). four photos (4) plus two pages (10) for the Donna challenge. P-1 Simple Stories pp on each page (2), P-3 six patterns (6), P-9 old LYB and new SS (2), P-11 wood & metal on each page (2), P-12 ephemera (3), S/I-1 leaves (2), s/I-2 four rectangular photos (4), s/I-4 hearts & stars (2), T-1 circle & star dies (2), T-6 inked edges (2), Th-1 two school pages (2), N/S-3 clusters (2). Total: 57

Linda you've turned this into a great double page layout, and I love that you've included your kitties in family game night jjpeapea I love that border of walkie talkies and the bikes MDscrapaholic great job getting the actual decorations onto your page! I love how you've run the striped paper vertically, it really plays up the central design. I think I've caught everyone else in the gallery.

grammadee so colorful, so vibrant. I love the double sides of kid school and adult school. Chinagirl828 Clever putting extra photos in the 6x12. And not neglecting to tie it all together with your cute wave paper. Beautiful photos.
