Went out to look for Christmas paper ... I guess it's still too early. Anyhow I picked up a DCWV Far East pad at 40% off. When I got home I found some sheets which will work with my Christmas design. My peeve with these pad designs, is the feature is on the left side. If they were on the right side, there would be some great looking cards. Perhaps there is a reason for designing them THE WRONG WAY. Maybe in an album it looks better; but there are opposing pages, so I would think you would want a balanced look. Oh well, I'm a papercrafter and I have a craft knife, and I know how to use it. I also have baby wipes and a box of Band Aids.

Photo with an example? Not of blood and Band-Aids of the wrong-sided paper? I couldn't find any good pictures.

I have that collection AC used it to scrapbook a trip to Hong Kong. Some of the gold foiled papers are beautiful and I can totally see how they would work for Christmas

I get what you are saying Don, about the balanced layout if someone was trying to do a two-pager. Guess they don't care about that.

It's like trying to make a box with directional paper. The design is upside down or sideways on 3 of 4 sides. If you cut the DCWV paper for a 7¼ X 5 card The storks would adorn the back of the card. If I were only a scrapbooker I wouldn't mind at all. As a papercrafter I would like a variety of use from products. I will probably cut the storks out and store them in my ephemera crate.

I get what you are saying Don, about the balanced layout if someone was trying to do a two-pager. Guess they don't care about that. That makes sense - I wasn’t even thinking about SB layouts. For cards they’d work fine, assuming the image fits well on the card. Image on the left, sentiment on the right like in the examples above.

It depends on your perspective. I prefer left side images with wording on the right so those papers would work for me. I also know that if I buy 12x12 paper I’ll have to cut it down to fit a card front so I can choose how to trim it.
Or are you saying you would use that paper as the base so the image would be on the back? Is that paper thick enough to use for a base?
