Just had a thought... They are so worried about brown immigrants coming but have no concerns that by refusing vaccines they are killing thousands of their voters!!

Just exactly how is President Biden destroying this country? Be specific because so far you are just talking in generalities. Well, let’s see….open borders and letting in unvetted and probably covid ridden illegals. Then….shipping, bussing and flying then depositing them all throughout the country. Gas prices $2-3 more per gallon than they were 9 months ago…out of control crime in several big (and liberal run) cities. More homeless. And then putting the homeless in hotels…pandemic confusion and fear mongering for vaccines. Really??? Vaccined still have to mask??? You’re vaxed but it’s not enough to keep you safe? Vaccine passports? Withholding medications to cities with high numbers of unvaxed??? That’s just to name a few. There are so many factual inaccuracies in your statement, I'm not sure where to start. Let's start with the fact that the borders are not actually open. And migrants are not any more likely to spread covid than unvaccinated Americans. There's no evidence that migrants are spreading covid despite what Abbott, DeSantis and Cruz might claim. www.npr.org/2021/08/10/1026178171/republicans-migrants-covid-19-surgesGas prices are the result of many factors, many of them out of control of the president. And yes, masks are necessary because of breakthrough infections and the number of unvaccinated. Science and the recommendations change as the situation evolves. Vaccine passports are not required in the US. Some private businesses are requiring proof of vaccination, they are legally allowed to require them. Don't like it? Then take your business somewhere else. No different than places requiring shirts and shoes. apnews.com/article/business-health-coronavirus-pandemic-0ba36f8d413ed199697f2e8a17199988And the federal government is not withholding medication. The Biden Administration is trying to make sure monoclonal antibodies are available to all areas of the country, not just Florida, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee, Mississippi, the states with the highest use of them which directly correlates to their low vaccination rates. The administration is also increasing the production of monoclonal antibodies. www.phe.gov/emergency/events/COVID19/investigation-MCM/Bamlanivimab-etesevimab/Pages/Update-13Sept21.aspx If the governors of Florida and Texas pushed vaccines as hard as they're pushing monoclonal antibodies, there would not be a need for them. Some states like Idaho, Alaska and Montana are rationing health care because their hospitals are overwhelmed. In a public health crisis, difficult decisions need to be made about where to send resources. Tennessee decided to limit monoclonal antibodies to unvaccinated residents. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/tennessee-limiting-monoclonal-antibody-treatment-unvaccinated-residents-n1279740

You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own set of facts. NPR is a credible news source, mostly unbiased and relatively central. Show me a credible news source (almost anything other than Fox, OAN or Newsmax) that backs up any of your false claims.

We wear masks to protect others. Anti-bodies cost upwards of $2,000 vs vaccines that cost $25. I am paying those cost as are many of us because those states need subsidies from NY, NJ, CT, and a few others.. so that is my monies being used for anti-bodies treatments instead of prevention which is far more effective. Getting Covid risks long Covid which no one wants!!!
Approved threatmemts/anti-bodies should be available for all in all states, not just the ones who do not encourage vaccinations!
I hope you never know what it feels like to be run over and/or kicked by a horse's hoof. I was long long ago and I was carried away on a stretcher.

Vaccine passports? Withholding medications to cities with high numbers of unvaxed??? That’s just to name a few. 1. They are not open borders. How do you know they are letting in “unvetted illegals”. Got proof? As far as being unvaccinated, I’m sure they are and once they are in US custody they are vaccinated. There was a blurb about it on one of the threads on this board. Do you have any proof that the US has let unvaccinated migrants free to wander the street of American Cities? 2. What specifically has President Biden done to increase the cost of gas? 3. Actually I posted a chart that showed the crime had actually spiked in 2020, before President Biden took office in 2021. But I agree that crime has spiked but it started happening prior to President Biden taking office. And trump was partly responsible for some of that violence with him calling COVID the “China virus”. After he started that the attacks on Asian American people skyrocketed. The cowards did it to old people. Living in the SF Bay Area it seem there was a video of another senior Asian American getting thrown to the ground every couple of days. I mean these cowards really put some muscle in throwing/knocking these old folks to the ground. I hated it when they showed the video on the news. It was terrifying to watch. That’s on trump. 4. There has been a homeless problem for the last 50 years so you can’t blame it on President Biden or his policies. Besides most policies involving the homeless originate and are handled on the state and local level. What is wrong with putting homeless in hotels? 5. Pandemic confusion. I’m curious how many pandemics have you lived through? I think it’s safe to say that nothing in modern times has ever happened to prepare the world for what we are still going through. How is telling people to get vaccinated fear mongering? The current crop of vaccines do not stop people from getting the virus but lessen the symptoms, in the majority of cases, if they do get the virus. Because vaccinated people can still get the virus wearing a mask helps stop them from spreading it to those who can’t be vaccinated like children. And helps them not getting the virus as well. That little added protection. So what’s your problem with Vaccine passport? What medicine is being withheld from cities with high numbers of unvaxed? Proof? If you don’t mind me saying so those are rather weak reasons to claim this country is going to hell in a hand basket. And a couple have very little to do with Biden’s policies. Got anything else?

Wandering into this thread on a quiet Friday night, and turning right around again to leave. Don’t even have the energy for all this nonsense tonight.

One can watch whatever news outlet that catches their fancy. But the question is do facts matter to you? Or are you one of those who believes stuff because they want to believe it and facts be damned? Because if that’s the case for you then I stand by my comment that you and others like you are one of the main reasons this country is screwed because you are divorced from reality. And as long as a chunk of Americans are divorced from reality this country will continue to spiral down to destruction. It’s that simple.

Let's start with the fact that the borders are not actually open. When you have Democrats like Jeh Johson, Obama and other Democratic officials ON the border voicing and seeing what we have as "essentially open borders", when you have people crossing illegally saying "they're doing it because of Biden's policies and wouldn't have done it under Trump", when you have Biden sneakily flying border crossers into the interior of the country in the middle of the night, then you've kind of lost the objection to seeing them as open borders.

What I mean is that this presidency is going down in flames and I for one can’t wait to see it burn. He’s horrible and so is she. She has done nothing in 9 months. And everything he touches is a disaster. And her….Really? Comparing the border patrol to slave behavior??? Nothing like fanning the racist flames. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Are you really that blind that you can't see the correlation between white slave owners or white overseers harshly treating slaves and slave patrols to mounted white border patrol agents trying to control black migrants? Even news organizations around the world are making the connection. If you can't see the similarities, maybe educate yourself in our history. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-58654351www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/09/20/what-one-photo-border-tells-us-about-evolving-migrant-crisis/Photographer Paul Ratje was standing in the Rio Grande when he captured a remarkable image: a Border Patrol agent mounted on horseback, grabbing the shirt of a migrant unlucky enough to be within reach. Every detail — the apparent anger on the face of the officer, the food in the migrant’s hand, the isolation of the location — is evocative and revealing. Nor is it possible to ignore the historical echoes suggested by a White officer of the law apprehending a fleeing Black man. A reporter for the El Paso Times, Martha Pskowski, described another facet of the interaction, one that evoked an unpleasant historical comparison to White enslavers hunting down enslaved Blacks. As the Haitians tried to climb onto the U.S. side of the river Sunday afternoon, the agent shouted: “Let’s go! Get out now! Back to Mexico!” The agent swung his whip menacingly, charging his horse toward the men in the river who were trying to return to an encampment under the international bridge in Del Rio after buying food and water in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico. One migrant fell as he tried to dodge, others shielded their heads with their hands. She’s a Trumper. She misses Big Orange. 👀
