Anyone going? I really miss my crafting mojo so am hoping this will help. I am going to go for one day, take two classes and shop a little depending on the crowds. The choices for classes was very minimal but I understand they lost many vendors over the issue with not refunding participants (they gave gift certs instead of giving credit card refunds) when Expo had to cancel.

No expos for me anytime soon. Maybe once my daughter is able to get vaccinated I'll go but I thought the way they just offered gift certificates vs refunding people's money was pretty crummy so I may not go just on principle.

I have some sympathy for the woman who run ScrapExpo. As a general rule venues for this sort of thing do not refund because of a cancellation. At least I know it's that way in Sacramento. She was left hanging with $$ paid out also. It was just a stinky deal all around.

I went to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Mesa Arizona last weekend. It was so much fun. All 3 crops sold out. Even though there were half as many vendors as they had in 2019, the shopping was very good. There were deals to be had and fun, new things to look at. I was impressed with the entire event. Many people shared positive comments on the event. So glad the scrapbook expo came to Arizona. I'm happy you get to have one in Sacramento too. |
