Hi guys, I'm here with the 22nd sketch and twist for the month. The sketch itself is fairly simple: a6a81eea48cf76a9c54f81babcf12c9b by kirstendrew, on Flickr But you'll notice my example barely is recognizable! I flipped it sideways, and took inspiration from the middle "banner" piece in putting the layers under my photos. I kept the inspiration of where the tag placement was, but changed it to cut out elements. And I used the inspiration of the banner under the the title to add the christmas lights under the photo blocks. layout christmas cardboard cat condos by kirstendrew, on Flickr To meet this week's twist you must do ONE of the following BIG changes to the sketch: 1. add a diagonal piece of paper across the background 2. change the tags to large die-cut elements 3. use a banner someplace on your page other than where it's shown in the sketch 4. add mixed media to the background 5. use hidden journaling or a removable tag (my journaling pulls out behind the cat house) If you do more than 1, you can take 2 bonus points for each.

Thanks for the cool sketch, I can see myself using this one again. Here is my layout. I stuck very closely to the sketch. My twist is the mixed media (gesso dots) on the background.

AussieMeg beautiful. I like the strips of paper in place of the solid left paper. And the gesso dots. All kids need a Funcle. kitbop thanks for the sketch. Such a fun page - the face on the die cut cat. And the hat you added! I like the title in wood grain because it is about construction. And how the festive lights banner echos the one on the house. You've give us a great idea. I think I'll have my daughter construct a cat condo for Christmas. You know that piece of paper that you've always wanted to use? I got to use my plaid paper for this one!

jjpeapea your plaid is perfect for your photos. I love how you've created that apple embellishment to hold your title too.

jjpeapea your plaid is perfect for your photos. I love how you've created that apple embellishment to hold your title too. Forgot to mention the apple is hinged with journaling inside. Thanks, Cricut machine, for your help.

I turned this one a little to make it "fit" my photos. I really need to start taking more landscape photos!

MDscrapaholic I really like this sketch with the portrait photos, and your mix of papers is just fab, I really love that princess border.

MDscrapaholic You got to use your princess paper again, yay! That strip is the perfect touch. Rotating the sketch and using an insert cards was a great idea.

Thank you for the sketch, kitbop. This was a fun one to do. I love your cute page and I left love in the gallery. Love in the gallery for AussieMeg too. jjpeapea, that red plaid is perfect for your page. I love the darker red plaid and gingham is always my favorite. Love the look of the apple mounted on it. Great way to twist this sketch. The look of the smaller photo in the center allows plenty of room for your apple block. Nicely done! MDscrapaholic, what cute photos you have used. I love your twist on the sketch to fit those photos. My little girls always loved mason jar rings for bracelets too. Your colors are delightful and I love the strip of princesses. Darling page and darling little girl. Linda, as I clicked on your page and read the title, I thought “that’s an understatement”. She is the biggest cat lover there is! So, so cute. The cats paper in silhouette is so cute, as is the kitty paw border. The big banner down the center fits perfectly. I love the paper piece diagonally from corner to corner. Very nice look. Beautiful page. Here's mine. The scanner made this pink very dark, but it's very soft and pretty IRL. Where's My Tiara

Linda the background with the two diagonal papers is just fab and I love how you've then anchored everything on the banner piece. Great take on the sketch! nylene I'm off to leave praise in the gallery for your lovely page.

linda clever to change the sketch around and use just right longer thinner photos. All your cat embellishments add such cute touches. nylene WOW super special. I know she's photogenic, no doubt, but I love the beautiful pink color. And the bubble cut outs, like lacy or something. And that the flowers match the flowers in the tub and her hair. And I LOVE the triple offsetted title. I got so inspired by the title that I used something similar on my #27 response, to be posted tomorrow.

Here is my take on the sketch. I went with a huge Covid 19 virus die cut. Used one of my newest collections Photo Play's the New Normal
