I would like to purchase a glue gun. Are there specific brands that are better quality then others? Opinions please.

They are all basically the same. I do have the Imaginesce battery powered one and I like it. It does go through the batteries if you leave it on for any length of time, so I don't use it for big projects. For my big projects, I have an Alienne brand one that is old--it uses oval glue sticks. What I like about it is that it feeds the glue stick through automatically--I don't need to push it through myself. It's nice if you are putting down a long bead of glue and need both hands.

I have this cordless one (actually an older model...mine is red). I really like the stand as it catches the drips in between uses. Two temps and heats up quickly. Cordless Glue Gun on Amazon

I have a plug in one that my MIL had for probably 40 years before she passed. I love using it and have great memories of her and her craftiness every time I use it. Sorry back to the original post dd has a battery operated one from Michaels that seems to work fine too.

I have THIS ONE and really like it. They sell it at some of the big box stores, so you could pick it up with a coupon.

I have one similar to cmpeter, but mine is Black & Decker brand. Cordless is the way to go.

I have a generic one I bought at Bunnings (a hardware store). It was a lot cheaper than the "crafting" models sold in craft stores but it takes the same glue and produces good results.

Does anyone have a glue gun that doesn't drip?
