Is it just me or does anyone else find this sooooooo distracting. There are several I could name[ but wont] that I follow because I like their content but whenever they show their faces I cannot take my eyes off the “caterpillars” on their eyelashes….
All I can think of is how uncomfortable and ugly they look .
What am I missing …..is this the new beautiful ? If so ,I’ll stay on the ugly uncool bench thanks.
My opinion only I guess but I find it so distracting that I avoid them

There is one in particular I have unfollowed because it is so distracting and she puts her face on every thumbnail. I feel the same way about lip fillers haha.

Ugh, the super long and thick false eyelashes are everywhere! Do you really need 2" long eyelashes?

The long bright or pointy fingernails bother me. I feel like they are coming at me.
The eyelashes are such a distraction IRL. I can’t look away.

I follow some beauty YT'ers that have fake eyelashes and they look nice, although probably way more dramatic than needed IRL. But I have seen several people who have really horrible looking eyelashes. I follow one person on YT for WW but she also likes beauty. But her eyelashes and makeup are way too much, IMO. She blinks constantly and one time said that people had been asking about it and she blamed in on dry eye. Um....nope. Probably because you have super long fake lashes on that are bothering your eyes. I also don't like the long, pointy nails.

I am into beauty, especially the over the top looks, so I watch a lot of beauty you-tubers and they all wear them so I'm used to it. I think it can look good when part of a complete glam package on camera, but in real life the really over the top lashes always stand out in a bad way to me. It's really just a matter of preference, it's known and openly discussed a lot on at least some beauty channels that what works on camera doesn't necessarily work in real life.
In general IDGAF what a crafter does beauty wise, I'm there to learn techniques and discover products. But I get finding things distracting, once someone starts including their kids in their videos there is a good chance I'm out.

spider lashes and bubble lips seem to be the current trend. some people are harder to watch than others.

Not for me either - I'm not glueing anything near my eyes! Lash glue is safe, it's glitter you need to be careful about! The way lashes are applied the glue is placed on the lash band and allowed to sit to dry out a bit and get tacky before it is placed on the eyelid. Not saying you should go buy yourself some falsies, just sharing my false lash knowledge  |

I get distracted by big tattoos on fingers and hands, super long nails, and lots of rings. Oh, and the sweater sleeves that cover up half their hands. The eyelashes don't bother me. Everyone can, of course, wear whatever they want. That is their right. But I have the right to turn them off and not watch them, which is what I do. |

The long sweater sleeves get to me, too. I don’t wear long sleeves when I scrap. I feel like little bits of paper and stickers get stuck to them and they get in the way and that’s all I can think about when I see sleeves up to someone’s knuckles.
I don’t think I’ve seen any scrappers with fake lashes but I have seen some long nails. I’m especially distracted by the ones that are painted White Out white and when they have to slide things off the edge of the table because they can’t pick them up. That always gives me a chuckle.

The mega lash and boy brow trend are laughable. I can continue to watch though. I absolutely cannot, will not watch videos with long pointy nails, huge square nails from late 90s. Hugely distracting.

Most of the people I watch aren't on the camera and I see their hands. I find the eyelashes mesmerizing. Totally not my thing, but I don't mind them. I am more distracted by long fingernails. I end up thinking about how hard it is for people to paper craft with those things and not paying attention to the craft.

Just today I noticed a lady I know who does nails and has a big following used a filter that put false eyelashes on her. It was so weird. I couldn’t take my eyes off those lashes, as she moved and the lashes readjusted. Why would someone who is just lovely looking on their own choose to present themselves that way?

Nah, I don’t even get to that part! It just bugs me , they film themselves getting set up, laughing, talking to someone off camera, then say.ok, it’s good, and start drinking from a cup, or eating a snack, and comment, we’ll just wait a bit more in case anyone else shows up or something like that.
My other pet peeve in, you are doing this video and your hairs a mess and you’re wearing a sloppy sleeveless tank with you boobs almost falling out the sides—yeah I can’t watch that train wreck. You could be teaching me have to use magic to make scrapbook supplies appear out of thin air, but if you look like people from Walmart, I am going watch a different video or a rerun on cable !

I prefer photos over watching videos, so my viewing has been limited. I see hands mostly and rarely a face because it's process videos or showing product. I'm okay with long nails unless I hear annoying clicking with them.

I hate when they spend the first 5-10 minutes saying hello to everyone and waiting for more to join. It’s disrespectful to those who are on time and wastes my time. I also fwd through that part on recordings. Re: eyelashes - they are distracting when overdone. I met a youtuber in person and just couldn’t look away from the freakish lashes! Some people and situations it works, some it looks ridiculous. Same goes for overdoing the dark eye makeup. |

Ha Ha it must be a thing now. There is a Youtuber not scrap related that puts fake super long lashes on then pulls her hair back super tight in a bun and has the florescent pointy nails. It's very odd, kinda of like looking at Tammy Faye Baker but just lashes and nails not the makeup and she just talks about herself, anyway good for her she has a ton of followers but I can't help thinking what the hell and why did it come up on my page!
