with my granddaughter. She was on her way home from work and was hit by a hit and run driver. She is 8 weeks pregnant. She has whiplash and some pretty bad rib and lower back pain. They did an ultrasound and the baby's heartbeat was strong. The front of her car is pretty messed up, but my DH was able to drive it home. Thank god it wasn't worse.
On a good note, I was able to see the little peanut and his/her heartbeat!

That is so scary! I am very glad that she was not more seriously injured and that her baby is doing well. How exciting that you were able to see your great-granchild. And it must have been very reassuring for both of you.
I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers for good healing and a full recovery, and that she is not in too much discomfort in the interim.
I would imagine it was a great comfort for her to be able to have you there with her.

Oh no! Glad she is ok! I hate with a passion drunk and hit and run drivers! There is no place in society for people like that. They should never be able to drive/own a car.
