Happy October! We are having very nice, warmer than average, weather here in Minnesota. I need to get out and do some yardwork, but I'd rather scrapbook.
I am headed up north to my parents' house tomorrow, so hoping to get some pretty photos.

The weather here has turned to a lovely mild fall. DGD has been wearing adorable fall dresses and I already have been busy snapping photos of her and it's only October 1st!
I bought some cute Halloween stickers from CM and they will be fun to use. I have a feeling October will have lots of photo opportunities and I could see myself filling n entire album with just October, haha!
I have a Colonial living history event in mid October where I also expect to get a bunch of fabulous photos of DGD. Seems like it will be a really nice month.

It is really warm for us too and that means I just keep finding more outdoor projects to do. Eventually it'll turn cold and I'll hopefully start scrapbooking again.

Spent some money yesterday, but the boring kind... ordered a year's supply of page protectors. Still looking for the Pioneer albums with the big D-rings but no luck yet.
Tried to spend even more money. Scrapbook Generation has a punny Simple Stories Homegrown card kit I wanted to order for my niece for Christmas. And while I picked up the collection last week at the LSS, I added some of the extras--cb, brads, diecuts--to the order. But when I tried to check out, I got the message that "some of these items do not ship to your address". Put in a physical address instead of a box #. Same result. Took the brads off the order (don't want to send pokey things across the border?). That didn't help. I gave up. Hoping to find the card kit somewhere else...
Have two more pages (plus the cover) to do for our family calendars I put together each year as Christmas gifts for kids and grandkids. Did the December page early in the year, and have January to September complete. Now to make sure each person is represented in the calendar. Hoping for some good fall/Thanksgiving photos from a couple of ddil's for October. Maybe some hockey photos for November. I will be seeing several of them late November to take my own photos, but by then it will be too late to get the calendar pages printed in time.
Am slowly gathering things for an in person crop later this month. Have my undone SKETCHtember sketches printed. Not sure if I will link each sketch up with a small page kit with papers & photos, or if I will do what I usually do: pack everything but the kitchen sink and throw in the sketches, the photos, and a bunch of themed sb supplies that might work for those pages...

grammadee - sorry about the card kit - that's wierd they won't ship to you. I'm planning on making some Halloween ornaments today with the Cricut - just need to get motivated

I did some yard work yesterday and am worn out today. I might make it a scrapbook day, while doing laundry.

I actually created last night I made 6 cards with the doodlebug cute and crafty line. My plan is to finish my tea and go make more.
It's a long weekend here and I'm trying my best to create. I have three days off coming up too. So time to start Xmas cards.

I worked on July PL today and think I finished it finally. I also organized my December Daily stuff, did a table clean off and took the trash out. But I mainly got caught up on A mIllion Little Things. I really should just stick to podcasts when I am working, otherwise I am getting way too distracted.

My scrap room is officially packed up. I really never imagined we'd actually move. I'm gaining 77 sf and a long walk in closet. I've packed everything in the room, but I haven't touched the closet. It is so organized and I made shelves specifically for the closet I have. We'll pull those out after showing our house for a week or so. Right now I am just living in box land all over the house. Thankfully I have a friend whose dad works for Safeway and got me 70+ apple boxes that are so nice and sturdy. The lady the realtor hired to come "help" us stage our house told me to leave the six piece credenza with the desk and inks out. It is staged to look like someone has a cute craft space and NOT a real scrapbook room. I made sure to pack up all of my really good stuff because I could see a kid or two walk through the room and pick up something sparkly. My WRMK typewriter was left out on the desk for show.
It felt kind of weird just tossing everything into boxes and not really organize everything. I am sure it will take days and days to get it all back together. We close on the 22nd of this month and I am giving myself until Thanksgiving to have the new house unpacked and ready to go. We'll be redoing the kitchen sometime in the next few months, so will just have to pack that all up again when the time comes.

Ok does anyone else realize that November is next Monday. I need to get on the Christmas card making pretty darn soon.
I will start making card bases this week. Wow. Where has this year gone. Usually I have already started.
I have to say (not that I needed more) but this year's Christmas paper and sets didn't really grab me.
I'm ready to start now. Like this minute But unfortunately I'm at work.

Just plugging away over here on my PL. 3 more weeks to complete (photos are printed) and I'm up to date. Course by the time I finish, I'll have to do another week 🙄. Its funny when I scrapbook regular layouts, I feel like I should be keeping up with PL. When I'm working on PL, I get ideas for regular layouts. I don't have the desk space to have both out so its a back and forth thing.
