Happy October!!! New SheetLoad sketch is up. I really like this one. Video youtu.be/ncfXmjfSd8gProcess video. youtu.be/xQvJUp3XKFs This month's extra challenge will include Cardtober. You can take any off the challenges to create these cards, joblackford/wednesdays will have color combos what I think will be the easiest to combine with. Extra 10 points. Happy cardmaking month!

I never got around to looking at last month's so I guess I should catch up on both. I noticed some torn paper in the examples, should be interesting

Here is my version of the sheet load of cards for October. I used burlap strips instead of card stock strips, swapped out a leaf instead of the vellum circle and changed the location of the sentiment.

Those are great katiekaty - I love the big bold flowers and the burlap seems to be a great option for the z-fold bit. I watched the how to video yesterday and it looks like a nice sketch. I don't have any particular papers in mind yet but I might be able to use my leftovers from a Halloween paper pad.

The flowers are pretty old, years and years old! LOL way back when flowers were first becoming popular we used to buy seems and branches in the floral department and disassemble them to use on cards and layouts. I have a wide variety of these types of flowers and I am glad I used to do that! Plus, I also have tons of the Prima and other brands made just for scrapbooking.

I too have a huge collection of flowers from back in the day . . . need to use them up like this. But I want to go for Christmas cards and get them cranked out this fall.
Question azcrafty Can we use other month's sheetloads designs and still get the 10 bonus points? Just wondering?

I'm sorry but no angel97701 I want to encourage people to do it with this sketch. Thank you for asking I hope I didn't discouraged you. You can still get a lot of points by making them with another SheetLoad and gramma has a good challenge on day 3 where you can get a lot of extra points.

I adapted this sketch a wee bit because I had a lot of 2" scraps and some cards that are a bit narrower than A2. This shows the first lot I made, but I just sat down with a bunch more leftovers and combined 3" strips with ~1.5" strips and layered with a torn edge. Once I get some sentiments sorted for the second bunch I'll come back and share them. I've never done much tearing but this was pretty fun and ended up looking pretty good. 3 photos: http://instagram.com/p/CWMTVHIvwct
