I haven't purchased anything significant from AE and especially SC since 2018, partially due to life circumstances and partially due to cost, CS concerns from the past. What are your predictions for sales this year? Have they had the big sales in recent years that they used to? Thanks in advance .

I thought the Black Friday sales for scrapbooking in general were pretty poor last year. At least that is my memory of it anyway.
The problem with SC is that they discount a lot of stuff throughout the year that they don't have anything new to discount during Black Friday, and they never seem to want to go into clearance mode where they sell everything off for a dollar.
They have junk sitting in their warehouse that they never price to clear. They're still trying to make money on it all.
An example of this is that only a few weeks back they were still trying to palm off Happy Mail kits that have been sitting in the warehouse for YEARS for like 8 bucks.

I remember last years sales at SC being uninspiring. I didn’t buy anything.

Last year BF sales were dissapointing all around! Hoping they are better this year!

I dug through my email to find last year’s BF sale - it was an additional 30% off already reduced items.
It was a lame sale, but it did seem to finally clear out the ancient crusty DK kits that had been languishing for years in the clearance section.

AE finally had a sale I was willing to buy from, but I think it was this summer or late spring. However, I have been a story kit/stamp subscriber for years so I didn't need anything from the kit sales
I haven't been tempted by many sales at SC over the last few years, even though I rarely have a subscription--the prices are nothing spectacular (and almost not worth it if you have to pay for shipping.)
I don't see this year being any different, even though they have to have a ton of stock.

Im not expecting much. Inked likes to keep their 5 year old leftover components from the SC monthly kits around for postarity sake. I am thinking it'll be a $1 digital sale.

It's like when home sellers think their home is extra special and is worth more than market value.

The good sales at Inked were Studio Calico's MEGA sales. You did have to machete your way through the jungle of goodies from all the brands under the Inked umbrella back then. Napkins, brown balloons, gift bags, individual greeting cards, etc. But if you were patient enough, you'd eventually make your way to some incredibly marked down scrap stuff.
As others have said, last year's Black Friday sale was a joke. Don't count on this year's being much better.
