My challenges this month are for you to create cards with scenes on them. You can create your scenes however you want: stamps, die cuts, ink blending, stickers, watercolour, anything. Today's challenge is to do a summer scene. The twist is to include a tree. Here is my sample made using a Hero Arts stamp set and Lawn Fawn masks. I coloured the stamps with my Spectrum Noir markers. What a lovely little scene - very cute! I like the placement of the sentiment in the clouds.

justjac thanks for the challenge! I LOVE your sweet scene. That's younger child me, found under the tree reading a book. No shoes for sure.

justjac, I love your summer card. I seriously considered buying that set from Hero Arts, and now I am tempted all over again. jjpeapea, your layered card with the stamped image is lovely. Both of your cards make me want to go somewhere surrounded by nature. Mine is a bit more rustic.

justjac, I love your sweet scene. It reminds me of sitting in a tree, reading for hours. Thank you for this challenge. jjpeapea, what a pretty stamp you have used for this summer scene. It looks so peaceful and serene. I love all the matting you have used, especially the tiny patterned paper you have used. scrapnnana, I love your little scene with the camper. The strips with camping sayings are really cute, as is your Fishing sign. I love that plaid background paper with the little forest animals. Great card for this challenge. Here is mine: Another use of Stampin Up set that has been sitting unused on my shelf. Thanks for the challenge. Missing You Summer Tree

scrapnnana what a cute little camper! I'm mad for plaid. The little labels, the trees, there is just something special about it. I'm especially drawn to it ... I'm thinking it would look so cute on a scrapbook page. nylene I like how you used the same stamp set for the summer vibe. Your textured leaves and the chair complete the summer feel. I couldn't resist peeking at challenge #16 and my dream came true - that you used the same tree and gave it a fall feel. Fingers crossed that you use it for winter too!

Nylene, I love how you framed your tree, and accented the scene with the die cut adirondack chair, leaves, and sentiment. It’s such a calm, peaceful scene. I often mat stamped images, but I have never thought to frame a stamped image like this.

Here is my summer scene, justjac. Anniversary card for our nephew and dw. The hills and sky were inked with TH oxides and a hand cut mask. The tree was a kind of an afterthought to meet the twist, but I hope it works. Gate open celebration by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here is the inside of the card. This is the new SU! deer punch, but I thought it looked enough like calves playing when they find wide open spaces. Gate open celebration inside by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee your card is hilarious. Running wild and free in the pasture, that would be a great celebration. For one card (the last recipe) I thought "If only I had grammadee's deer punch". I would have put a big deer on the card instead of a tiny one. But I totally think they pass for calves in the context.
