The lidocaine shot hurt the most. The rest was loud. I did bruise quite a bit from my biopsies, so if that happens, don’t worry.
Here’s hoping that everything is benign. 🤞🏻

I just wanted to wish you the best and I pray it comes out benign. There are SO many stories shared by our sweet Peas here. I'd give them all huge hugs for going through it also. xo

No experience with a breast biopsy, only thyroid.
Just wanted to wish you well and hope it is relatively painless.

I had one done in June and it wasn't nearly as bad as my ovarian stuff. Rhondito described it well. Mine turned out to be benign. Hope that you have good success with your results.

Sending you all the good healthy it’s nothing bad vibes.
I haven’t had one so far. My mom has had two US guided ones, one with the marker implant. She was numbed and felt nothing. She said after was just tender for a couple of days like a bad bruise.

Sorry you had to have one that way too. Thanks. That's very kind. I had to go to a center where I could get it lying down because I've fainted just getting regular mammos, let alone a mammo-biopsy combo. Grateful for the science, but wish we could hurry up and invent those Star Trek medical tricorders.

I had core biopsies done, they took 3 samples. I didn't feel a thing, afterwards it was a nice day and I was off work so I walked home. I took some OTC pain medications "just in case" that day and the next but never had any real pain just a bit of an ache. Minimal bruising.
Biopsies came back benign, but I chose to have it removed anyway a few weeks later - no way I was leaving any sort of lump in there.

That stupid mammo machine! Yep, we need some new inventions. Praying for you this morning cindyupnorth!

I always hate to answer this question because it shouldn't hurt. I had the US guided. They took 5 samples and at first I was surprised by the loud click too. The first two samples went well. No pain at all. The third one...horrible pain with it. My hospital is a large teaching hospital and a resident did mine with the attending standing by. They told me later on the third sample, he "nicked a blood vessel". Not going to lie...the pain was excruciating. I cried and I am not a crier. I was scared to death about what the next two would feel like but no pain with them either. Just that third one. I bruised very badly from my biopsy. Unfortunately, mine was cancer but I hope you get good news today. Take it easy afterwards.
Sending you all the good thoughts and benign wishes!!

All done with the biopsy. It went well. I had a really good team. The radiologist I know and like, and the nurse was very thorough with explaining every step. Every time he was going to do a click he counted to 3, 1,2,3 click. The worse part was the numbing injection. Quite a bit of burn. But then numb. I'm home and icing. Have a compression dressing on and sports bra. Should have results in 1-2 days.
THANK YOU! everyone for supporting me and thinking of me! Keeping my fingers crossed and prayers this is not cancer!!

Glad it went well! And the ice is awesome for sure. I also find a Tylenol works great. I took one dose and was fine. Praying for the results!

My clinic gave me a pad of 4x4s that had been frozen. I bruised horribly, but after all that bleeding it was to be expected. The ice pad did feel pretty good. Sending good thoughts.
